KARA member Nicole‘s diet regimen has been attracting attention from fans and netizens alike, as a picture titled “Nicole’s Seriously Shocking Dinner Diet“ surfaced in an online community on October 27th.

The picture is from the October 24th broadcast of KBS‘s ‘Star Interview‘, in which Nicole revealed her diet secrets. Her diet plan included tofu, zucchinis, cauliflower, and carrots, as well as food without any oil and other healthy vegetables.

Instead of cooking her vegetables in oil, Nicole revealed that she instead bakes them in the oven, which keeps her calorie count low. She also explained that she sometimes replaces the tofu in her regimen with salmon or chicken breast. The singer revealed her ever-thin body in another segment of the show when she showcased part of her pilates routine on camera.

Upon seeing Nicole’s diet regimen, netizens commented, “This is shocking. Nicole can even gain some weight…“, “She eats that much and still performs? That’s sad“, “and “Nicole’s diet regimen is definitely healthy. But it doesn’t seem very tasty!”

Some of these girl group diets just baffle me. How can you deal with such an extreme schedule on such little food a day? I start shaking if I get too hungry and I'm a lazy ass bitch.

I did a pretty ridiculous diet for awhile during my teens (granted I wasn't working like a 22 hour schedule) and you basically just start running off endorphins after a certain point. it's unpleasant and fucks with your mood. you just feel kind of buzzed and out of it all the time, and sleeping is next to impossible, but I guess k-girl groups don't do much of that anyway. you burn out quickly though. I don't know how she could do this sustainably. she must be so sad :(

agreed. healthy, but seems bland.

also she is probably super active during the day so I hope she is actually getting enough calories with it. none of these girl groups seem like that eat much.

what worries me about these diets is that even if you want a skinny body, you still some sugar and if you have a schedule like hers it's important to have some energy and handle the whole day you need some carbohydrates.....

From what I've read, "going on a diet" screws with your body and most people don't bounce back afterwards (which is why such a high percentage of diets fail in the long run).

My guess would be that at some point (possibly years ago when they were trainees or even before) it was deemed necessary that they diet and now they have to continue maintaining it to keep from rebounding . . .

I don't really see anything wrong with her way of eating, but I hope she's consuming some kind of fat to help her body's absorption of fat soluble vitamins. Adding something like brown rice would probably be good as well.

She should add some oil but it looks healthy to me. Her hair and skin are going to suffer if she doesn't add some fat to her diet. Especially with the damage it already takes from being a celebrity.

i like to eat like this cause it's tasty :3 veggies veggies veggies tofu yum. so no, i don't think it's gross.

but i also add fats, because if i don't eat them my body craves it. mmmmm meat. i also eat really unhealthy foods like spam and ramen too tho so, i am not skinny :p

i'm sure every once in a while she eats unhealthy. like desserts or something.
