I want to know what plant in South Korea is, like, kryptonite to human sinuses. I have seen more people mouth breathing and/or with massive allergy circles under their eyes (which are different from the "I need a nap" circles, they're more sort of... Purple but not puffy?) since I got into K-fandom than ever before.
As someone with allergies so bad that an allergist once joked that I would fail as a bubble child, it makes me feel better about myself/the world. But it also sort of fills me with fear and foreboding when I actually get to SK.
eh, it's just probably genetic. I have horrible under eye shadows I got passed on from my dad :/ my teachers thought my mom was a bad parent when I was little b/c I looked like I hadn't slept in days. then I discovered the miracle of under eye concealer, lol.
I'm not korean but I have dark circles under my eyes since birth. My both parents dont have it and I only developed some sinus allergies in recent years. So like maybe its just a hereditary or genetic thing? rather than everyone having allergies? I mean I've never heard an idol complain strongly of sinus trouble before....(I also havent noticed the mouth breathing but that's not something I'd usually notice either so)
The thing is that I've definitely seen the same idols with and without them, when makeup/concealer definitely wasn't an issue. There are definitely a few people who always have the dark circles, but some people they come and go, which I've always associated with allergies. I also almost never complain about my allergies, because I've had them since I was a very small child, they pretty much only come up when I get my once-yearly sinus infection in the spring or if there's something super moldy nearby and I almost stop breathing. That's always fun.
I know from my somewhat nervous research that in the spring some parts of the country produce so much pine pollen that even people with no respiratory allergies have to wear face masks or risk the yellow death, which I've already experienced once in North Carolina. It was... Less than pleasant.
But oh well, it's not like I wouldn't be dying of dust mites all the time even if it were a magically allergen-free outdoors. Which is I guess a bright side?
I'm glad I'm not the only one who is confused by Seo In Guk's features. But he makes a good model. Eunji couldn't hide the fact that she's such a tomboy if she tried, ♥
