Lee Hyori‘s behavior at a fashion show has been met with mixed reactions from fans and netizens.
On the 26th, Hyori attended a fashion show at the ’2012 Autumn Seoul Fashion Week‘. Her friend, model Hye Park, was walking the runway and after she completed the catwalk to walk back, Hyori suddenly called out, “Hye Park!“. The sudden outburst caused the model to burst out in laughter on the stage.
Designer Yoni P tweeted both Lee Hyori and Hye Park after the show, writing, “How can you call Hye Park’s name during a show? Keke an article came up right away. Ah.. This is so funny.” Lee Hyori explained, “I was happy to see her“. The singer and the model were originally good friends, and Lee Hyori had called out the model’s name due to the happiness of seeing her on stage
Although some of her fans thought the situation was funny and cute, some others frowned at her lack of professionalism. They commented, “Have a bit of common sense… That’s a professional fashion show“, “Why did Hyori do that?“, and “Even if she was close to the model, I wish she thought of the others that were there“.
However, designer Yoni P spoke up in Hyori’s defense, stating, “I like that kind of thing at our shows. I don’t like artificial environments and prefer natural ones that allow the models as well as the audience to enjoy the show comfortably.”
