Lol all jokes aside, I hope so; I hated 2ne1 for I Love You and the concert promo, as well as the frozen big bang thing. I love the over styled look they put on epik high but do you recall the horrific green letters in the pics....
Ugh those letters... Usually, I found YG's teasers pretty bad, so I'm really surprised and pleased here (Lee Hi) and Epik High look. But I feel it was more Epik High having fun picking up nice styled clothes than YG thinking about something suitable !

I'm upset with what's going on with the girls as well, I think they have a lot of potential and a strong fan base and I don't think they're even giving us fan service at this point. I hate the styling post-I Am The Best, I have to admit. And the tour promo styling... no words. I liked how they looked in the mv for I Love You, but the rest of that promo vanished.

ok i just checked the yg app, gummy & se7en are doing a 'guerilla concert' (?) together on 11/1. idk what that means but it means they are on the schedule which is a huge deal... i swear the yg family strong heart is the only place i saw them this year. se7en should at least get another mini before he goes to the army.
yg should DEFINITELY always have someone promoting. they may not have the fanbase or the number of artists of an SM but there shouldn't be anything preventing foreverpromotion, especially with the new groups or if they get subgroups/bigbang solos going. now the first quarter of next year is going to be super busy for everyone releasing music and they will all be promoting new music at the same time. and the whole second half of the year will be tours again.

Everything fits together very well, the black and white plus pastels in the outfit and the background, the font, her girly hair and make-up, the cute but cheeky pose. I like.
The boob top, ok, that might be YG's idea of avantgarde but I can overlook that. On the plus side, it managed to draw everyone's attention to the teaser image and obviously made people talk about it ;)
I liked the green one too because it wasn't what most other companies would use as a visual concept for a debuting teenage artist. YG's playing with people's expectations (and may be subverting them?) and I really like that. Can't wait for the actual song!

when i was watching Dream High i had those exact thoughts lolol. her vocals are bonkers but her persona bores me. if i compare it to b1a4's sandeul, whose voice is out of control, i'm glad his agency is actually having him do Immortal Song (like she could have...). i only recently got on the b1a4 train (after loving their singles forever) but i think the vocal style/song variety can only make them better.
