Not going to lie I had to listen to this like 15 times before it stopped sounding really weird to me. This song just does not fit Lim's voice, it's too soft for her. And idk what happened with sohee cause her solo made me flash back to the dark days of Tell Me and So Hot. But she got better towards the end. Yoobin was weird her, all her little talking bits were awkward and didn't fit. Even Sunye's voice sounded odd. Yeeun was the only one that really shone here I think. This is one of my favorite songs, which was why I voted for it, but in retrospect, I probably should have realized it's not really a song that fits the group well.
I agree. Not my favorite WG cover (that title still goes to when you believe by Sun and Yenny) but Im loving it for how much it made Yenny the focus of the song/video. She just shone in this
I'm so finally that Sohee can finally carry a tune. She's still not the best singer out there, but she's finally not the worst singer in the group anymore. That would be Lim's position. She's a decent rapper, but she just sounded completely out of her element, and while she was on tune, she just sounded awkward. She's better when she has simpler melodies; she sounded great on Like This. Why they didn't give Yubin a singing solo is beyond me, though. She's a very capable singer, and her rap and little talky bits were just no. I normally love her rapping, but she just sounds hella awkward in English. Yenny and Sunye sound great as usual, though. And Yenny's smile is so infectious. ;A;
I'm kind of still annoyed that this song won. Literally any of the others would have been better for them, but they still did a good job with it. I love the middle chorus where they harmonize.
Omg Yenny is freaking Gorgeous, beautiful, charismatic. She looked and performed so good here. Her little moments made me smile so hard like when she held up the phone symbol when she said you can call on me and when she looked to the left as Lim rapped looking to the laugh. so cute
Lim's voice in the beginning threw me off so much, but then YeEun's and then SunYe's voices kicked in and everything was right with the world again ;__; Also digging the rap part, not too out there. Their attempt at harmonization though, ehhh.
That said, I would really like an mp3 of this. YeEun and SunYe sound too damn pretty.
Yeeun and Sunye are flawless but Sohee and Lim... poor girls they have no room for improvement, at least Sohee is kinda cute but lim doesn't have the talent or looks, i still don't understand how she became a member.
I don't follow WG too closely but, I don't really understand it either. Isn't she fluent(or really good) in English or something, though? They were in America a ton around/after that time so I always thought that was the reason.
Personally I think Lim is adorable, and she's a fantastic rapper. But she was added for her English skills, and the fact that her voice has a similar tone to Sunmi's. Sunmi was also one of her closest friends predebut so I always figured that had something to do with it.
Never knew Lim was added for her English skills, i actually thought that i would get used to her, but for some reason i feel like she still looks out of place within the group and i still don't like her.
Maybe i'm being too biased because Sunmi leaving the group was horrible for me... i also stopped stanning them after they disapeared for years in america, and it was around the time when Lim became a member, so maybe i relate her with those bad times.
I saw people complaining about this before I got a chance to watch it. I don't know why. Sohee and Lim sound like they usually do... Meh. Yeeun and Sunye sound flawless. Only thing that was off was Yubin. Everyone is allowed an off day, so it's cool.
Zzzz solim's voices. At least sohee sounded better on the harmony bits and *tried* to do some weird adlibs, which is why I recommend them to do dance covers instead hahaha. Leader is so flawless <3 she took it for me this time round, yenny's powerful voice is to be expected. Yoobin is a better rapper but I still think her english enunciation isn't good enough so they have to back it up with the fast talking thing. I rather hear sohee fast rap (She's actually not bad in korean) and sing less.
