Skarf, who is currently promoting the second song on their debut single, “My Love“, has been treating fans to dance practice videos.  Alpha Entertainment recently uploaded yet another dance practice clip this time with member Ferlyn dancing to Ciara‘s “Turn it Up” featuring Usher.

Recall that Skarf is a four member-group made up of two Korean members and two Singaporean members.

Dressed casually in black leggings, a black top with yellow geometric accents, and a pair of Jeremy Scott‘s wings sneakers, Ferlyn attempts to add her own flavor to this hard-hitting dance track.  Starting off with a few acrobatic moves, Ferlyn uses dances moves quite different from what we are used to from Skarf.

Check out the video below, did she do Ciara’s dance justice?

It looked kinda awkward to me. These pre-debut videos of her while she was a dance instructor are much better.

My problem with a lot of kpop idol dancers is that they dance with no emotion........

Like I clearly see they are reciting "1, 2, 3, 4 and 1, 2, 3, 4" in their head........

And it all ends up looking awkward......

All of them.......

None of them could really freestyle either except maybe Jay park......

ikr that's why I crack up at "best idol dancer" and "best idol rapper" lists, very seldom do you see someone with actual natural talent at the top

late reply but I hate when people dance like their counting and yes most of what passes as "dancing" in kpop is really pitful

What bothers me the most is that none of them can freestyle......

Like at all.....

I feel like a great dancer should be able to do choreography AND freestyle well AND not look like emotionless robots......

Yeah poppin and lockin mimic robots sorta but an amazing dancer can take an otherwise soulless dance and put some soul into.....

THERE'S NO SOUL IN IT !!

They can't free style because they have never danced outside of doing choreography. Most of them learned to dance in a studio as a trainee doing 12+ hour work days. They lack control and personal agency towards their music/dance/image/attire. They have no connection to the music or the dance hence the lack of soul/emotion. They don't body roll or pussy pop because they feel like it, they do it because someone told them to. There are of course a few exceptions but not nearly enough.

it's just me or they seem to push the singaporean girls way more than the korean ones? every time their company releases something is either about ferlyn or tasha.

Do you not have a sense of humor about anything in Kpop? Because it sounds like you don't, if you are seriously asking me if I wear scarfs, because even if I said yes, please to be explaining the misspelling and the fact you name a group after an article of clothing in the first place.

I swear most no one on here can take a little ribbing of 'their groups', it's an semi-hilarious fact in and of itself.

Ok, then. Idk, I feel the k makes it seem it would sound a lot more muffled. I'm just always baffled, and bemused at these group/song names, when they get romanized.
