Block B to discuss the Thailand interview incident on ‘Beatles Code 2′

Male idol group Block B recently talked about the Thailand interview incident and resulting controversy.

On the recent recording of ‘Beatles Code 2‘, Block B stated “The incident that happened eight months ago during the Thailand interview was out of line and it was wrong.”

MC Tak Jae Hoon commented, “It was during the peak of your promotion when this incident broke out“. To this, Block B’s leader Zico replied, “This may sound like an excuse but, the night prior to the interview we didn’t get any sleep because we were working on music and our minds were a bit loose. We were out of line and it was wrong.”

Artist Hyun Ji Young who was also present during the recording said “The incident that happened eight months ago was wrong, but because of that you guys [Block B] had the time to look back on the incident and grow into more mature and careful members of Block B. In the future [Block B] will gain more popularity and grow, but at the same time be humble as well.”

During the program the group also discuss their latest album as well as a few funny group anecdotes.

This recording of “Beatles Code 2″ will air on October 22nd at 11PM KST.

They were playing around during an interview in Thailand, where they were being asked about the recent floods there. As in, literally playing with each other, not listening to the interviewer, etc. Not to mention that there were some comments they made that people didn't like.

people need to just forget about this. they apologized so much and took so much heat from it from big fanclubs bullying them. theyve matured so much from this, and im glad it didn't stop them from being the ridiculous trolls they are.
but seriously, they make one mistake and its the end of the world, but other celebrities drink and drive and do drugs and so much more, and they never got half the flack block b did. id like to see what nichkhuns fans who started all this had to say after his DUI.

Well an ex-classmate of mine who's a huge hottest was all "Oh I'm a Block B anti-fan now" after the Thailand incident but was quick to say that "Hottests will always support Nichkhun" and I was just rme all over the place.

They apologized for it multiple times, they made an apology video where one of the members appeared on the verge of tears the entire time, P.O. was hospitalized due to having severe panic attacks over the multiple suicide petitions, they were not allowed to appear on any music shows, Zico took full responsibility over the incident and shaved all his hair off to show that he was sorry.

All over a (granted, poorly timed) mistranslation. Yeah, it was a stupid mistake, but it was overblown and they have done so much to rectify the situation. I don't understand why people are still all over this issue. It's not like one of them got a DUI and hit someone on a motorcycle.

Edit: I feel like this came off as me making excuses for their behavior in the interview, which I didn't intend. I just feel that they have done so much to try to apologize for it and make it right, but it keeps getting dug up again.

comments on those translated sites don't necessarily represent majority sentiments, whether positive or negative. They just offer a glimpse of some of the views of a relatively small group of people. Just like how there are still tons of top hate comments on t ara and g dragon/seungri/big bang, the majority of netizens have pretty much moved on (except for the really passionate ones). So far there are articles regarding block b with majority criticisms and also others that have majority positive comments so like most issues the opinions are mixed.

Excuse accepted. I do know what it feels like to lack of sleep and screwing your mind in the next day, and you don't even remember what you're saying/doing. Of course it's different with other people (maybe there are people in here who can act totally sane after not sleeping the night before.... it's your choice) but everyone makes mistakes.

I think Zico said that statement because he doesn't want people to keep thinking them as a bad group, because the Thailand incident was unintentional. It's pretty fair to say it though. Idk why some people said that other people are "making excuses"...... so what?

I was one of the people who was majorly pissed off, cause I had family and friends suffering from the flood; and until this day I still don't see how people are still making excuses for them.

However, I can see that they have grown and matured, and I hope they'll think before they try to be funny the next time even though it's their thing to be "trolls" according to their fans - but there is a time and place for things.

And lol stop mentioning nichkhun, block b shouldn't have done what they did to begin with honestly. And the reason why it blew so much out of proportion was the way their fans handled it. Several Thai celebs who expressed their dissapointed got bashed by block b fans all over, which made it to the headlines.

I'm sorry but it was blown out of proportion. #1 - they weren't blowing off donating to the floods by saying Zico had no money, he physically had NO MONEY in his wallet. they donated the entire proceeds of their concert so people who are misinterpreting that need to get their facts straight. #2 - Look what happened to Nickhun, mr.love thailand, drinks and drives so guess what he's not a saint either and #3 - I have followed them throughout when have they been serious during interviews. people need to get the fuck over this, it was 8 months ago. and if you're really not going to give block b a chance because of this there's something wrong with you.

I'm new to these guys (I got interested in them since Nilili Mambo) but is true that netizens signed a suicide petition for them? I've read all the incident and their behaviour wasn't good but that's so exaggerated and nasty.

Yeah, it got really nasty, one of the members was hospitalized for a while because of repeated panic attacks.

I feel like the real problem was that their management let them "troll around" for so long that it really did them a disservice. I'm glad that they've grown and matured, and I really hope that this doesn't lead to more netizen backlash. People always seem to forget that they had donated the entire proceeds of their concerts to flood victims.

If you don't like Block B because of this, hey, that's cool, but I really hope there aren't anymore suicide petitions. Poor P.O. already was hospitalized for repeated panic attacks over those, and I am unsure how he would respond if those petitions started making the rounds again.
