The costume promotions worked like a charm.
Tickets to B1A4’s first exclusive concert, BABA B1A4 have completely sold out. The tickets were open for purchase on October 18, and within five minutes, 8,000 seats were sold.
Not only that, even before ticketing opened, around 75,000 people were on the server, preparing to battle it out to be part of the lucky 8,000.
According to CJ E&M, who is in charge of the concert production, the members of B1A4 were extremely thankful to hear that their concert sold out and promised to do their their best in preparing for their concert.
B1A4’s BABA B1A4 concert will take place at Olympic Park’s SK Olympic Handball Stadium on December 8 and 9.
B1A4 made its debut in 2011 and soon gathered a large fan base, enabling the fairly new group to hold an exclusive concert so early on in its career.
enewsworld
And people said they wouldn't sell out. PFFTTT. They also had a pre sale for the fan club members on the 15th that also sold out. :D

Date: 2012-10-19 05:00 pm (UTC)Even though I was really frustrated it made me feel satisfied, though. All of the netizenbuzz translated netizen comments on the concert were really negative, so I'm like, fuck you netizens!!1
I don't get the scornful 'they're too new to hold a concert' thing. If they can sell tickets now, why the heck not have one now? And they picked a venue with a modest size, which ended up being too small for demand even. So, y'know, so there.

Date: 2012-10-19 11:53 pm (UTC)They all have their wheelhouse. Baro does good at the running events (and won gold and silver medals for it). Jinyoung has won gold in fencing and shown that he is amazing in archery. Sandeul has won medals in high jump.
I also suggest you to backtrack the B1A4 tag on Omona. There are a lot of really great interviews with them. I love reading their interviews and it really gives you an insight of how they are as a group.

Date: 2012-10-20 08:32 am (UTC)THE RECOMMENDED SCIENTIFIC APPROACH:
Date: 2012-10-20 05:53 am (UTC)Next: life performances. I'd say watch their debut/comeback performance and goodbye stage for every promotional period as well as any special stages. They are great, fun performers who seem super comfortable and happy on stage. They also kinda suck at dancing but always sing live.
Third: read interviews. Their interviews are super precious, with a charming mix of frankness, silliness/cuteness, and professionalism
Finally: variety shows! I love them on variety shows but most of them seem pretty low-key, like they're cute and charming but not a whole lot actually happens so I think they're probably the most enjoyable after you already like them. MTV match-up is the first, then Sesame Player, then Hello Baby, with various guest appearances and cuts inbetween.

Date: 2012-10-20 08:47 am (UTC)I love love love these five boys and their inspiring attitudes. They are just the sweetest, most sincere and adorable idols I have had the good fortune to come across. It pains me that I can't go to watch them live, but knowing that it will be a monumental moment for B1A4 and BANA is more than enough for me.
And WM better release official concert footage. My wallet is ready.
