Jihae to leave Girl's Day

Five-member girl group Girl’s Day will be promoting as a four-member group for the time being with Jihae leaving the group.

Their agency revealed, “Due to personal reasons, Jihae will be absent from the group starting with the promotions coming up with the release of the album on the 26th. For the time being, Sojin, Yura, Minah, and Hyeri will be promoting as a four-member group.”

“Reason behind Jihae’s leave is personal and something that has been deliberated on for a long time. Part of it includes wanting to concentrate on her studies (Jihae is majoring in dance at Sungkyunkwan University)… On Jihae’s future, Jihae and the agency will be discussing various options,” they said.

The agency requested for the understanding of fans as they concluded, “We offer our apologies to the fans for this situation and Jihae no longer promoting as a member of Girl’s Day… Please give Jihae your support.”

The other members will be making a return on the 26th with their 5th digital single “Don’t Forget Me“.

The old old bullying rumour is pretty much confirmed, and that's why Jiin and Jisun left at the same time even though it was allegedly for different reasons. I'm sure both girls have grown up now. There doesn't seem to be anything like that for New.F.O.

As for bullying now? Completely unsubstantiated. The four girls all love each other. Sojin, despite being much older than the rest, gets on with them like a house on fire, and the other three are rarely away from each other. I would imagine there's no bullying towards Jihae either because she did like them, she just wanted better things.

I was never really a fan of her, and she hasn't wanted to be there for months. I think it'll be good for her. Despite not being the eldest, I think she always felt like she was, and it made her uncomfortable after her bffs Jiin and Jisun left. I wish her well, and eagerly await my bbs' comeback! :D

oh no ): i really liked jihae. but i think you could kinda tell that she was tired of all the aegyo pop they were doing. hopefully girl's day will come back with another twinkle twinkle and not another OMG.
