Rainbow‘s Woori shed tears as she talked about her group.

She was a guest on the October 12th episode ‘Go Show‘, and talked about the difficulties that Rainbow had faced. She revealed, “We haven’t put out an album in over a year. The other Rainbow members have been practicing for a year. There are so many idols now that we have no place to stand,” and burst into tears. She continued to say, “The Rainbow members are all so nice, and they all supported me coming onto ‘Go Show’.”

On the same show last week, Woori had also confessed that Rainbow members still use public transportation because of monetary issues, and that they hadn’t won first place even though they debuted more than 3 years ago.

Hopefully things will look up for them after their hinted comeback!

idk what DSpoor is doing...A-JAX and Puretty's debuts were huge failures and it's safe to say Rainbow got shafted because of them.

I'm sure if they got music and performed, things would start to look better, even if it's not number 1 hits (doesn't mean much these days anyways). they really need to push singles out, that's their thing. and not Japanese fillers.

Honestly, DSP should just let A-JAX and Puretty members go and as well as few of Rainbow members (it's easier to promote group with four or five members than one with seven). And then concentrate on promoting Rainbow in Korea.

Yeah, A-JAX was not a good move. I have no idea about Puretty, but my sense was that they were DSP's attempt at capitalizing further on the Japanese market? So it might be okay to have Puretty in Japan, KARA split between Japan/Korea, and Rainbow in Korea. Covers all the bases.

my poor girls, i keep waiting and waiting for their comeback. they could have gone further after a and come to me, but stupid DSP did nothing else with them in korea (let's not talk about rainbow pixie). this makes me so sad because they're such a quality group too (; n ;)

Compared to other k-pop girl groups in Japan they're basically right in the middle so yes.

#1: KARA & SNSD
High Tier: T-ara
Mid Tier: 2ne1, Rainbow & After School
Low Tier: 4minute, secret, CHI CHI, Brown eyed girls, etc

They should have at least got a new single by now.

I've never listened to rainbow but I really liked woori when she was on iy2. I hope they have a comeback soon or at least find a better company that will support then instead of pushing them off to the side. Wishing the best for them!!

Their label dropped the ball by not promoting them more when they had moderate hits. They should have kept riding that and producing material to build up steady momentum, but it seems like just as they were on the verge they made the mistake of making them concentrate on Japan when they weren't properly buffed in Korea.

It's really sad. I really like Rainbow!
Its really difficult to get first place because there are too many groups and if the ones with a big fandom are promoting there is basically no way they can win.

Oh DSP. I genuinely feel bad for them. After "A", DSP should have tried harder promoting them and giving them more singles while Kara was busy in Japan. But I don't expect much from them either way, I still remember the way they managed SS501, which was really shitty and they were one of their main money makers.

I wasn't a fan when they debuted, but their last promotion cycle won me over. Sad to see them overlooked, but it seems like DSP always makes poor promotion decisions and waits for fame to fall in their laps (and disbands their groups quickly if the fame does not materialize).

Also, they're one of the few girl groups whose cute songs I enjoy. Somehow they never overdo it.

i hate that dsp shoves them in the back just because they didn’t make it quickly, which is hilarious because it took kara two years to get their first win, and even so they only become truly important in korea when they blew up and became huge in japan. yeah kara stans, i said it!

kara shouldve and wouldve won with pretty girl but dsp botch that promoting ss501 at the same time as kara. basically kara was irrelevant for only two albums (year and a half) which isn't that bad (it's mostly in comparison to wonso). mister is a kpop staple, regardless dsp botch that promotion as well. what a shitty company.
