It appears that the idol has come across some unpleasant words by supposed fans. He tweeted earlier:
He later added the photo above as a “present” to the “non-haters”. Eli’s followers on Twitter commented, “Actually….us ‘fans’ can say whatever we want to because we can. That’s how life is man. Gotta deal with it”, “Those are not real fans”, and “I agree. I love you Eli”.

And when people can't even keep their fanfictions out of fucking tumblr tags for idols, what does that really say about our respect for them as people? I don't really blame dudes for thinking that their fans don't care about them as human beings when they can't search their own name on tumblr without coming up with porn written about them and the people that they work with every day. JFC.
(And this is coming from someone who has literally NO stones to throw about the writing of RPS. It's just, like. How about you don't rub it in the faces of people who by virtue of their job have no ability to ask people nicely to not talk about them like they're dolls or pieces of meat on the internet?)
Unpopular opinion is unpopular, but it's not being douchey to ask English-speaking fans to have the same amount of respect for an idol that they do for their FB friends. It's really not.

The recent scandals with Exo fen calling Kai a slut and holding up signs making it pretty clear that Kris is nothing more than a sexual object to them come to mind. It's all well and good to do that stuff within fannish spaces but keep that fourth wall intact.
That said Eli needs to learn when to shut the fuck up b/c netizens are obviously incapable of critical thinking and he's just going to make himself and his bandmates look worse
