SECRET’s Hyosung asks portal sites to edit her weight

SECRET‘s Hyosung requested portal sites to fix her weight on the October 2nd episode of SBS‘s ‘Strong Heart‘.

She started by revealing, “I dieted for the new song, so I lost 3 kg (approximately 7 pounds). Before I lost weight, I was 50kg (110 pounds). But my company wrote that my weight was 45kg (99 pounds) on my profile, so a lot of people were talking about that.” She confessed that she knew she didn’t look like she weighed 45kg. She said, “I decided to reveal my weight, and said that my weight was 50kg. Immediately afterwards, the portal sites fixed it to 50kg. But now, I’ve dieted and became 47kg (104 pounds), so I hope the portal sites will fix it again.”

She also confessed that many of her fans had left her after she dieted, and stated that she was worried she had to regain the weight to get her fans back.

It really makes me sad that so many fans left her after her diet :(. I loved her old body more but if the few extra lbs off make her personally happy and more confident in how she looks then i dont understand why people care so much its her body. Will probably never happen. Weight/Height, ideal type, and group look rankings are always the go to subjects on these shows. It gets tiring very quickly, especially the group look ranking because it's always the same damn ranking (i.e SUJU choosing Eunhyuk last).

Woah so she only lost 6 pounds? It seemed like 10-15 to me. 5 pounds only changes my face a little but idk everyone's different I guess.

But really LOL at kpop companies. No matter how tall and how different the body type EVERY female celebrity weighs exactly 99 pounds. They should just not display weight on profiles. It's such a sensitive topic.

I kind of wish she'd just stayed at 50kg, the difference isn't really cosmetic anyway, more numerical. But I think having more female idols who acknowledge they're 50+ kg will lose the stigma for the number because some idols and their companies need toget over the fact that they're that much.

I was just about to comment that I wish they'd stop making a big fuss about being over 50 kg. : ( There was a Taiwanese show where they weighed all the female celebrities and all of them would yell and cling on to the scale if they turn out to be 50.1kg or something.
