On September 30th, Girls’ Generation appeared on “Count Down TV” in Japan, a late night music television program, as part of their promotions for their recent single, “Oh!”. Dressed in their white cheerleader uniforms, Girls’ Generation delivered a smooth and polished performance of their latest Japanese song for viewers tuning into the show.
Released on September 26th, Girls’ Generation’s fifth single placed highly on several sales charts and is still selling thousands of copies each day. Girls’ Generation will be continuing their promotion for the single tonight with another appearance on NHK-TV’s “MUSIC JAPAN” at 6:10 PM JST.

Date: 2012-09-29 09:05 pm (UTC)But Oh is selling terribly and the only reason it will be no 1 is because it has no competition. Remaking the song was a really bad idea. And I'm saying it as a person who loves the Korean version of Oh to pieces.
This performance was better than the one on HeyX3 but still rather bad, the girls clearly don't enjoy performing and Taeyeon looks dead on stage.

Date: 2012-09-29 11:21 pm (UTC)This single isn't selling as much because it's more expensive than Taxi, Paparazzi, etc, but it has NOTHING but the actual case and the CD. No photobook and shit, plus the lyrics for the song suck.
Oh well, at least qummydino has a legitimate claim that snsd's sales @ nippon land are flopping, oop/

Date: 2012-09-30 04:39 pm (UTC)And they are doing great compared to all the army of Hallyu flops who can't even sell 20k copies in a week, so i don't understand all this "soshi is over in japan" crap.

Date: 2012-09-30 04:59 am (UTC)Watching them perform Oh these days is always something else, I mean they are just so obviously over it it's almost hilarious. I bet Taeyeon's life flashed before her eyes when they found out they would have to promote it in Japan. Faulty decision there btw.
Stop making my girls do remakes! Especially Japanese remakes with random Korean.

Date: 2012-09-30 09:10 am (UTC)on a brighter note i don't think they're going to do another remake any time soon strictly based on what songs are left (kissing you, itnw, gg & baby baby seem to be the only lead singles that don't have a jpn version so far).
