it's like they had no one qualified enough to be leader, so they just pulled names from a hat, and he was the lucky one.

Date: 2012-09-12 10:42 pm (UTC)I mean, it makes sense. He's the most visible member that would actually be around (unlike Siwon) and Yesung, Shindong, and Sungmin will be hauling off not too soon after Teuk. Maybe when Heenim comes back he'll take the reigns. Either way this goes though, Super Junior isn't the same once mass enlistment starts. /shrug

I honestly think Hyuk will step it up, and be a great leader, so I'm not worried. I always thought he'd be the one anyway.

Date: 2012-09-13 12:26 am (UTC)Leeteuk did say that hyun would make a good leader cause he's calm and organized. Then the others agreed about him being very put together, so then hyuk jokes about how removing kyuhyun from his radiostar position was among his priorities once he's the leader.

Date: 2012-09-13 01:40 am (UTC)I'm actually hoping Yesung might step up a bit more, though, since he'd be the eldest (although that also means he's the next to go). I also thought Teuk was rather symbolically handing the reins to Yesung by letting him receive music show trophies during SFS promotions. But then again I probably read too much into things.
