Korea’s representative girlgroup So Nyeo Shi Dae has hit their 3rd consecutive breakthrough of 100K album sales for their albums.
Their 2nd minialbum sold more than 40K copies in just 1 week into its release, this brings the chance of them achieving 100K album sales higher. Bringing the So Nyeo Shi Dae symdrome earlier this year with the song ‘Gee’, their previous album has sold 24K copies for its first week.
HanTeo site has reported a record of 40K album sales for the 1st week, but music industry insiders are saying that it is selling at 50-60K copies a week after including shipped out album sales.
Meanwhile, the title song ‘Tell Me Your Wish’ off this new minialbum is not only doing well on various music charts but also on ringer tone charts.

you know, it goes without saying (and it's still said a lot), but 100k is so amazing for a girl group already; for a mini-album, it's crazy, and i'm kind of wondering what the sales will look like when they release a full album. i mean, if a full album will still get them 100k-120k in sales, is it going to be more lucrative to just keep releasing mini-albums, or will they sell way more with a full album?

Genie is a really good song, but I wish the mini-album as a whole were more solid. While they aren't my favorite girl group, they're definitely one of my favorites, and I'm glad they're doing so well. ^^
