EXO-K's Kai, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, & SHINee's Onew have all attended SM Academy, which is an institution affilliated with SM Entertainment.

This congratulatory video was made to celebrate the academy's 10th anniversary and the 25th/26th classes' graduation. At the end of the video, the students' parents make surprise appearances as well.

Kai: Hello, this is Kai from EXO-K. Congrats to the graduating 25th and 26th classes! Also, happy 10th anniversary to SM Academy. Wow, it's already been ten years. I heard that there are many hoobaes here who are working just as hard as I did when I attended. Fighting! 

Sooyoung: Happy 10th anniversary! Since we also had dreamed of being singers, it warms my heart to see all the students working so hard. Taeyeon, you're also a graduate from the academy, aren't you?
Taeyeon: Yes, that's right.
Sooyoung: I'm so proud of you. And yes, please keep up the good work so that we can all meet on one stage together! Fighting!

Onew: Yes, I also used to attend SM Academy. I was in the 7th vocal class. I had a really fun time with everyone. Please keep up the good work so that you can fulfill your dreams!

It's a hagwon (institution/after school thing) where you can choose to take acting, singing + dancing, or music production classes. You get some opportunities to audition for several different companies (not just SM) but most students never get in anywhere. You have to audition to enter, and a whole year costs around $6,000. You also have the choice to stay longer after graduation.

well maybe not rich, its definitely expensive but I dont think u have to be like a chaebol's son to be able to go esp if ur an only child like Onew is. altho there are those rumors about Onew and Key being born into well to do families. so who knows.

Not necessarily. Onew's family (from what I've heard) own a meat shop and are probably upper middle class. He took on part-time jobs to help pay the fees.

SM Academy isn't an actual school. I think the international school you're thinking of is Korea Kent Foreign School, from which both Tiffany and Jessica are grads of.
