After having revealed their first part of their duet project album ‘Love Story’, which topped music charts, Seo In Guk and A Pink‘s Eunji are back with their second duet for ‘Reply 1997‘!
The song, titled “Our Love Like This“, is a remake of the OST track for movie ‘Love Wind, Love Song‘ by composer Chu Yong Hoon, and still remains popular today as it is often used as a wedding song.

spoilers for up through ep12, aka everything that has been subbed/posted at dramafever.
I was surprised by the time jump in episode 12! Please offer some speculations as to whose ring she's continuing to wear, although imo it's seems pretty obvious?

Date: 2012-09-04 07:43 am (UTC)yeah the family stuff kills me but the love story part in the latest ep (the confession) killed me and i started crying, and then following that it was her with her parents saying goodbye and i just lost it.
Spoilers included!!!
Date: 2012-09-04 07:36 am (UTC)I think it's Yoonjae's ring she's wearing. She began to see him in a different light when he ran to her after she called because of the man stalking her in the dark alley. But by that time, he was beginning to cool off because he was trying to see as a future sister-in-law. Like they said in the drama, timing is everything when it comes to man/woman relationships. I think she broke up with Taewoong when he gave her the ring and key to his Seoul house. I think she wore Yoonjae's ring even though they didn't see each other for several years because she wanted to keep the memory of their friendship close and she was beginning to fall in love with him before they all left Busan. Finally, another clue that she married Yoonjae and not Taewoong was when Taewoong was introducing his aide to them. If she was his wife, he would have introduced her first before his brother, imo. Also, I doubt Yoonjae would have been very "skinshippy" with her if she was his hyungsoonim. Afterall, when he thought they were dating, he was keeping his distance. But then, the show could surprise me and have her be married to Taewoong or to neither Taewoong nor Yoonjae, but to an outsider. I want Joonhee to be with some other guy if he can't be with Yoonjae. He will stay YJ's best friend but be in a relationship. I'll be pissed if they make his character be going through a high school "gay phase" or he ends up with no one at the end.
Re: Spoilers included!!!
Date: 2012-09-04 11:02 am (UTC)Thanks for pointing that out! I was able to "decode" the hints about Si Won's future man, and while I've always maintained that it'll be Yoon Jae and Si Won in the end, I couldn't decode that scene.
What you said makes perfect sense. When I couldn't figure it out, I wondered if the writer/s just like/s to confuse the viewers without backing it up with discreet details but I guess I just didn't notice and went ahead with my guess! Haha.
I'll be pissed if they make his character be going through a high school "gay phase" or he ends up with no one at the end. Same here.

Date: 2012-09-04 10:52 am (UTC)Story is solid. (So far--please don't fail me, show, please don't fail me.) Actors are good, they just act naturally and it's something I did not expect. (Yoojung's cute antics annoy me at times, but that's just me.)
I almost never 100% buy the emotions between the romantic leads in a K-drama because everything is hyper-realized. But the flashback concept really works here. So, obviously, I am shipping Yoon Jae and Si Won 100%! There's so much history to their relationship! I'm also a sucker for coming-of-age, high school love stories. The good ones, not the aegyo fluff. The family stuff always makes me cry!!! (High Kick 3, isdatchu? Heh.)
The plot is nothing new, but I think that's where a majority of K-dramas have spectacularly failed in recent years. Most of them just think about gimmicky plots, but they don't focus on the storytelling. THE STORYTELLING IN REPLY 1997 IS SO GOOD. My faith has been restored.
