Singer IU left a sweet message written in English for her international fans!

On August 30th, IU left an unexpected post on the international IU fan forum, WeHeartIU.

Hello I’m IU.
I just read the fairytale you sent me
Sorry , i read it too late. It was so touching that I even weeped. You know I don’t cry that often. ^^
It means it was really really touching for me. It’s my first time to leave a message while you guys always gave me a lot of gifts.
I always appreciate about it. Actually more than appreciate, it’s marvelous!!
How could you even know me?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!???!!!!!??올로롤로로로 (Ohlolololo) << (This is an expression when I’m happy)
My english is just like a primary schoolgirl, i kow .. Keke
Even this is written by searching dictionary and asking my teacher .

Eventually fans discovered it and after reading the message, fans on Twitter left comments such as, “It’s good seeing you tweet in English“, “Thank you for the letter!“, “We’ll study more Korean“, and “Your English has improved.”

It's nothing specific from what I recall, just things like she apparently isn't as nice as she seems, and she was rude to classmates at her school predebut, etc. It came up in one of the T-ara bullying posts, because IU and Jiyeon are friends.

I remember those rumors! For the most part I don't think they're true because they only popped up right about when she first started hitting it big and really, there's nothing else that would suggest she isn't very nice (though there was that bit about her being not giving proper greetings to sunbaes + being a loner/cold because of her shyness). People ARE sideeyeing her more often now and thinking there's a chance she could be really bitchy/mean because of her association to Jiyeon but then again she's also besties with Luna who people generally agree is super nice and is herself friends with Hyoyoung. + most other fanaccounts/singers usually say IU's pretty easy-going so I think it's safe to assume that those rumors are just rumors.

I believe it! (What you said, I mean, not the rumours.) I think it's very easy for people to jump to the assumption that shy = rude, and draw the worst conclusions. And I have to admit, while I am :/ wondering how she could be friends with someone like Jiyeon (given what we have learned about her), I think the whole guilty by association thing is a bit much. Besides, IU is also close friends with Suzy, who couldn't be sweeter, and Luna, like you said.
