Hwayoung tweets regarding the scandal and Eunjung's situation.

After keeping her silence for nearly a month, T-ara‘s former member, Hwayoung, has tweeted in response to the controversy and the way the situation has been unfolding.

Hwayoung wrote,

“Having come across articles about Eunjung unni’s leave from her drama, my heart felt uneasy. It is true that there were confrontations due to differences in opinions with the T-ara members while I was promoting as part of T-ara. However, with the stories about bullying going around and the situation growing worse, my heart was in pain. Both sides have also been really upset and hurt by the distorted facts [that have come out]. However, there were times when I was happy while we were all under one roof, so I want to forget about the past and want us to cheer each other on with smiles on our faces. You all showed so much love, care, and attention to T-ara, so I’m very sorry for having caused concern and worry through this incident to everyone.”

I'm not a T-ara fan not even a listener, but I respect this statement Hwayoung's posted. The non-fan in me says she shouldn't even say sorry, but if I were her fan, I'd know that it's part of her responsibility as an artist. Even if she's out of CCM now, she has to do this for the fans. She's in a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation whenever she speaks after the fiasco, but I'm impressed with how decent her statements have been. Come on. We've all seen how other celebrities lash out after they've been treated unjustly. Hwayoung's young, been mistreated, and any of that could have excused for irrational behavior, but I gotta hand it to her, she's been as level-headed about this as much as she can.

We'll never know the details but all I get from Hwayoung's statements are "apologies for causing this mess", while other parties involved are just "defensive". :) I think that says a lot.

Phew that was long. This'll be my last comment on any T-ara thread ever. I hope to see Hwayoung somewhere happy in the future, idol or not.
