Also, does anybody else think that the magnae (Maru, iirc?) is biracial or something? I mean, he looks exactly like the local kids that loitered at the skate park and mall when I lived in Hawaii. That would be cool though if he is; more diversity in K-pop is always a good thing imo.

Ah, cool! I love idols who speak English with non-American accents... like, LED Apple's Hanbyul has the most adorable Aussie accent and dialect when he speaks English.
The thing with Maru is that since I first saw their photos and such, I was like, "There is no way that this kid is full Korean." To me, he looks part South Asian, Hawaiian, Hispanic or maybe even black. I can't quite tell.
Anyway, that would be totally awesome because this group seems to be doing relatively well and it would be great to have someone multi-ethnic be visible in K-pop.
In the event that he is actually full Korean, that's prob why he was selected : because he's so unusual-looking and has a ~foreign~ vibe.
