but really, most of the successful idols came from groups with many people. I dont think a company would waste money just to put their bet on just random made-up duo. I do think they must be great (according to the woolim ceo, and not jyp lol)

I think it's just the fact that Baby Soul's rumoured group consists of really young trainees (1992~1996? or maybe even younger), whereas these guys are older than Infinite, and a career as idols/bboys has a really short lifespan. Why waste such a good deal (talented dancers, multilingual, good looking, tall, and on top of it, twins) in favor of debuting a younger group that could wait and probably use the extra time to mature and become even more skilled anyway?

Feels bad for Baby Soul though, tbh. She's pretty much ready to debut solo, but she has to wait for her bandmates to catch up then wait for another group to go through their debut... I hope she's at least attending some college while waiting lol

i'm interested. teaser looks cool (even though they are box-ed), audio is fun and boys have attitude. i like that!
but all that "number one" stuff... i don't understand this strategy. are they really THIS good? that's doubtful. they want to have "oh i'm so cool and better than everyone else" image? not the smartest way to market debut duo.

It seems to be a trend. Miss A and F(x) were suppoused to be Asian New number one dance groups, JYP said the same thing about JJ I think.
