omonatheydidCNBLUE is receiving attention for their song appearing on American news. The August 3rd broadcast of ‘WPSD Local 6‘ morning news covered the story of USA women gymnastics team winning the gold medal and used CNBLUE’s “One Time” as the background music.
As the song was playing, the subtitles read ‘CNBLUE- One Time’ and the news anchor also introduced the song as she said,”The song playing now is CNBLUE’s ‘One Time’.” The part of the song added into the news had the lyrics of “One day I’ll show you I can be the world’s best,” which suited the story of the women gymnastics team winning the gold medal at the Olympics.
Yonghwa produced “One Time” himself, and it was also used as the title song of CNBLUE’s first Japanese single ‘The Way‘ which was released back in 2010. In addition, the song had ranked 11th on Oricon’s Daily Chart at the time of its release.
