Set Your DVRs: MBLAQ's Lee Joon Cast in Drama

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon has been cast in the upcoming KBS drama ‘My Daughter Soyoung‘.

KBS’s new weekend drama for September has added Lee Joon to their cast, with the singer being given the role of the main character’s younger brother.

This will be the first actual drama as a fixed cast member for the young star. Having shown his impressive acting abilities on sitcom ‘I Need a Fairy‘ previously, many are anticipating his role in the upcoming drama.

A representative of the drama said, “Lee Joon has already shown everyone his high level of acting in the 2009 movie ‘Ninja Assassin‘. And he has also shown his unique personality on various shows, so we know he will give a great performance“.

I dunno I think Joon can act, he hasnt had alot of opportunities to show it, but I think there is def potential there. He's no master thespian dont get me wrong, but I feel like he's still alot better than most idols who try to act are.

Weekend drama? I hope this doesnt mean its like 50 eps long, cause weekend dramas are usually super long (the ones on cable channels tend to be shorter but KBS isnt cable) I mean I'm super happy for him cause I love him and I think he can actually act unlike most idols who go into acting. But I prob wont watch the drama if its that long (and it doesnt sound that interesting from what I've read about it) but hopefully this is a window for him to get more and better roles in the future. I mean its kind of a crime that Kim Hyun Joong has got so many big roles and is now a lead in an upcoming drama when he's so wooden and Joon has only got sitcoms and other small roles :(
