AOA holds a successful debut showcase at AX KOREA

Made up of Seolhyun, ChoA, Hyejung, Chanmi, Yoo-Na, MinAh, Jimin, and Yookyung, rookie girl group AOA (Ace of Angels) lavishly kicked off their debut with a showcase at AX KOREA on July 30th. The girls put on their very first “ELVIS” stage, and label mates Lee Jonghyun and Kang Minhyuk of CNBLUE as well as JUNIEL dropped by the showcase to show their support.

AOA is being labeled as a ‘transformer’ girl group. Not only do they have a unique ‘angel’ concept, AOA is set apart from most girl groups out there today, as they periodically ‘transform’ from a dance group to a live band.

In related news, AOA will put on their first debut stage at Mnet‘s ‘M! Countdown‘ August 9th to officially kick off their debut promotions.

They did pretty well! I think they'll be one of the newbie groups that sticks around. It sounds like their lead singers are quite good for an idol group. They appear to be only barely proficient at their instruments though, imo.

I quite like them. I really like their other two songs (thank you, youtube), and whenever their maxi single or whatever it's called is released on iTunes I... shall buy it!

I also really like the very sensual but still understated move where they rub down the front side of their hip. It appeals to me.

I wish they didn't lip sync so much of it. Kinda awkward rap & transition over to the band shot. IDK maybe I just don't dig this song.
Wish they were promoting Temptation instead!

I'm excited to see what these girls will do next! Currently loving the drummer girl (Y, right?). :D I have massive respect for female drummers, cuz my mom is one. ^__^
