Super Junior’s Siwon shares his thoughts on Nichkhun’s accident

Earlier today, Super Junior member Siwon took to his Twitter to express his thoughts on Nichkhun‘s recent accident. He reflected on the events, what it meant for Nichkhun, and encouraged people to think positively of his future, saying: 

      "A few days ago korean idol group 2PM member Nichkhun was involved in a traffic accident while drinking and driving which is an absolutely illegal action. To this point Nichkhun should regret and refrain from committing such actions ever again. I believe he is examining himself more because of this accident. Nichkhun is a symbol of the Thai dream of success and has significance for both Korea and Thailand . Let us give him time to reflect from which he will emerge a better and reborn person. Thank you."

I'm more perplexed as to why Siwon would even get INVOLVED in the first place. You're not in the same company, you're not in anyway responsible for his actions nor do they strongly affect you in anyway.

i know everyone loves to hate siwon but i actually appreciate what he said here. he criticizes nichkhun's actions and doesn't try to makes excuses for him while still showing support.

regardless of whether people think he should have spoken about this or not it's hard to disagree with his actual message

As someone said, unnecessary. They might be friends, but a real friend would be more supportive than this (or at least the impression I get; maybe it's his wording, but I think he sounds pretty condescending towards Nickhun)
I'm pretty sure Nickhun knows what he did was wrong, he shouldn't need his friend to say "he should regret what he did"

This is a bit left field, but it really does. I'm an active member of the YEF at NYU and most of our members are from abroad. Most of the time I see members who struggle to understand the conversation to leading them and helping others.

Of course it isn't the bible itself, but rather the constant reading, discussion, studying.. Since it becomes routine and since there's so many didn't ways to say a single bible verse.. well you get it.

Point is, I wouldn't be surprised if that's what's responsible Siwon's sudden grasp of the English language.

Does it really matter though if Siwon's opinion matters or not? Just because he isn't under the same company, it doesn't mean he can't say something about it. They're friends and Siwon cares so if he wants to say something then I think he should be able to. And it's not even like he is trying to make an excuse for Nichkhun :/

The thing is, I actually thought Siwon's tweets were pretty sage. I didn't really read too much condescension. If one of my friends was caught DUI and people were bashing them, I'd say the same thing too. Yes, my friend fucked up, but he/she regrets their action and they are reflecting to change and do the right thing the next time around. I usually get why people bash Siwon, but in this one instance, I actually don't really get what the big deal is. To me, it sounds like he's defending Nichkun for being human. We're all human and we all do stupid things and screw up. As long as we learn from our mistakes, move on, and not repeat it (like Kangin did) then that's what matters.
