Super Junior's Drama Fight Reenacted and Explained on Strong Heart

Remember the omona post about the 'Inkigayo' fight Super Junior members Leeteuk and Eunhyuk talked about on Strong Heart last June?

This time on the July 24th, 2012 episode of Strong Heart, Super Junior members Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk, Leeteuk and Shindong took turns explaining the chain of events that led to the fight during Super Junior's #1 Inkigayo win last year for Mr. Simple on August 21st; while the rest of the members reenacted "footage" from that day's events.

The chain of events left five Super Junior members angry with each other: Leeteuk, Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk, Shindong, and Yesung. The fight was only resolved after Eunhyuk won first place on Dream Team, which was filmed immediately after their Inkigayo fight.

LMAO long story short: Donghae, the troublemaker, sparked the fight between Leeteuk and the victims Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk, Shindong and Yesung; but Donghae didn't get blamed or punished. He probably wasn't even aware there was a fight. Because he's naughty naughty ... plus nobody dares punish Heechul's golden boy and his post troll face:

i remember that inkigayo win. a lot of people in omona noticed the animosity between eunhyuk and the other members. i didn't know that it involved more people.

i wonder why donghae didn't get blamed. although, it seems like among the people involved, shindong is the only one he's not close with. and siwon probably didn't know this happened at all. lol!

j/k he probably had drama filming and had to bounce as soon as they finished Mr. Simple, but I bet he was glad to escape the drama, honestly, they fought over the dumbest thing. stress, lack of sleep, heechul's enlistment, luna's injury just culminated into one massive blowout.

donghae probably got blamed in retrospect but in that heated moment, the focus probably got shifted from him and onto the members that were directly in the "fight"

plus, how does one stay angry too long at lee donghae? that face of his and those puppy dog eyes just makes u instantly forgive him of any wrongdoing in these types of situations xD

I remember that when the Inki came out, everyone was assuming they where upset becuase of Heechul enlistment, I'm glad the truth is funnier (and came out).


It might seem like a little thing to fight over, but there were probably bigger things that they didn't fight over/lack of sleep/personal issues a mock that lead to the explosion from Leeteuk.

I remember that Inkigayo because I actually stayed up till 3-4am to watch it streaming live. I always assumed that it was because of Heechul's enlistment so when I found out the real reason, it was too funny.
The reenactments they did were hilarious.
I think this just shows how close because they are to be able to fight over stupid things but then make up the same day like siblings.
And I love how Donghae never got punished.

I'm curious about when did they recorded it because it seems like it's in SBS's waiting room?and sungmin&yesung were there too.. they fight over stupid stuffs,seriously..but that's what make these funny to watch.

Poor eunhyuk always just have to be the victim of teuk's wrath..and poor yesung got sprayed with cola when he did nothing. But hyuk's win in dream team after that is touching. It feels like series of unfortunate events happened that they then finally great thing happen to patch things up

Donghae is pretty much everyone's golden boy in SuJu.
He and Heechul are really close. Chul has mentioned a few times about the conversations he has had with Donghae. and there was one conversation he mentioned before the announcement of enlistment (which is why i suspected Donghae knew and wasn't as sad in the above Inki clip, when the sadness was thought to be due to Chul). the way he teases Donghae is like an older brother. look back at some of Chul's radio shows when Donghae was on...he usually sits next to Chul and gets teased.

I guess you're talking about Ricky Kim. He's an actor, model and the star of Dream Team (though I haven't watched the show in months so I'm not sure he's still in it ^^"). And he's half Korean and half American.

I remember that day... I was really shaken because I have never seen them look that bad before.

I don't know if I believe them though. I still feel like it was because Heechul decided to join the army.. He announced it right after that day.

Then again, now that I think about it, I guess I can see them all being upset over Heechul, which would result in them being on edge and this stupid fight breaking out so easily...

yeah with luna's ankle, heechul going to the army...i'm sure were all part of the reason why teuk said to play at first to lighten things up....and poor Kyu just walked in at the wrong time when play time was over and Donghae was being a stinker lol

i guess in a way it was an all around bad day for suju, because that was the Dream Team episode where Donghae hurt his knee and had to sit in the pimp chair for a few Mr. Simple performances.

Kyuhyun in general just adores Leeteuk. I think being scolded like that in front of all the members, staff and his friend Victoria just came as a shock especially because it was Leeteuk. I think it got on his pride as well. I'm sure he felt wronged which might have been a throwback to his debut days. Which is I guess why Leeteuk then spent two hours trying to patch things up with Kyu ignoring Eunhyuk altogether.

funny but uncomfortable. I watched that shinhwa interview too, where they said they also had an intern fight just as big, even bigger, because of the same very reason: one prankster and the one being played overreacting.

honestly, this brings bad memories. there was this time when I played a joke on an old friend I had, and he reacted so violently (the joke was me putting a piece of paper on his head and he not noticing it for a couple of minutes while still talking to people), he also hit me, and I can relate to kyuhyun because I remember I felt so sad and even cried. because I was just joking, really, and he reacted so violently and made everything awkward for everyone. I never felt comfortable around him again, we kept talking and all, but I just was afraid of him.

why am I telling this story? because in "snsd and the dangerous boys", the same thing happened to the boys, one joked and the other burst into rage, so they had a fantasy court thing to judge them. and when yoona was being asked questions by the judge, he asked "what would happen if the same situation happened between you and your unnies?", and she answered "oh, then snsd could not exist. I would become afraid of my unnies, and that would be the end of our team work", something along those lines.

so, the reason I brought ALL that up is because I think it's very admirable for them to maintain such a good relationship after that, maybe because it was all a misunderstanding and also an accumulation of prior factors, but still. if that happened to me, my relationship with the members would have been tainted and I would be afraid of them.


ps: I don't understand why people are violent, anyway. I never ever had the urge to hit anyone, much less a friend, so that would add to my perplexity and yeah...

idk about the violent part, it seems from my own family and in Asian cultures, it's a normal thing to hit people? In western culture, it's a huge no-no, invasion of personal space/violation of human rights/quick call child's services, but in Asian cultures (or at least from what I've noticed in dramas/mangas/animes and with my own family) hitting people is "the norm."

There's the hitting people for humor sake (like "you baka!" hit on the head and a meat bun appears), or the hitting people when you laugh, and then there's the actual hitting people for punishments sake, which will range in a varying degree of pain. I usually got it in doses of spanking or whipping via clothes hanger.

Idk, with men, I guess sometimes it's good to have an honest punch out/vent their feels type of a fight? Helps with the bonding? I really don't know, just my guess.

but I agree about the pranking thing. honestly though, in this situation, I know we're all joking and laughing and blaming it on Hae as the idiot mastermind behind the fight, but I honestly think that Teukie was at fault the most. If you're not in a good mood, but you want to lighten everybody else's mood and you tell your team members to prank you and it'll be okay, then you'd better be able to take it. Even after you tell them to stop, if you say it with a smile, most people will take it that you're joking. You have to make it explicitly clear like, "Dude, this isn't cool anymore, please stop, I'm getting irritated." Expecting people to read your facial expressions after you told them to prank you is just unreasonable.

I guess filming for these stages (inkigayo, countdown, show champion, mucore, etc.) takes a long time to film with pre-recording, backstage, and winners. So in between their pre-recording of Mr. Simple and the announcement of the winners, there was a gap of time, maybe like three/four/five hours or so. So some members chose to go back to the dorm during this time, others stayed in the waiting room, while Kyu decided it was a good time to catch a sermon. So he probably went for like an hour or so and returned to the waiting room to hang with the rest of the members when he saw the prank and wanted to join in. After Leeteuk got mad, there was still another two hours before they announced the winners xD

I love the way SuJu always tells stories on Strong Heart, one person starting and everyone else chiming in or contradicting or expanding. It's a dog-eat-dog world in a super sized boy band, you can't just sit and let someone tell a story by themselves. XD
