Actor Jang Geun Suk recently sent out a warning to his sasaeng fans once again.

Yesterday, the actor posted on his twitter, “Attaching an antenna on a cab and using GPS data transmission… There are so many methods. I repeat but I don’t need sasaeng fans so bug off! I’m offended,” expressing his annoyance.

Previously, last October, Jang Geun Suk wrote on his twitter, “Sasaeng fans. You guys think you’ve figured out my every move by following me around. But do you know this? Those actions push me further away from you. So smile when you can because when I’m mad it can get ugly.

Netizens responded to the actor’s second warning to sasaengs with comments such as, “I wonder when the problem of sasaeng fans will be uprooted..”, “Sasaengs need to reflect on their actions”, “That’s really crossing the line.. Last time they even installed CCTVs at Park Yoochun’s house.”

this whole thing with sasaeng fans...i personally think it runs so much deeper than just 'i love oppar so i'm gonna follow him around everywhere as much as i can!!!111!!', when you get to that obsessive level, i imagine it'd only make those kinda people happier that these celebrities even acknowledge them at all and call them out like this. after all, it means you've got their attention (albeit negative) in some way, right? i'm sure most of these people are not stupid enough not to realise that what they do pushes their idols away from them even more. they probably get some sick satisfaction knowing that they're probably constantly at the back of their idol's minds cos it means that they're 'involved' in their lives in some kind of tangible way.

Definitely agree with this. In some documentary they did on sasaeng fans, the "fans" themselves admitted to doing things like hitting idols because they knew it would force the idols to acknowledge them even if it was in a negative way (they even brag about it). It's really such a horrible cycle. Even when the idols try to warn them off it only serves to encourage them more but it's not like the idols can just remain quiet and let it continue to happen.

-Very well said. Too bad those fans don't understand the meaning of personal space.

it's great to see more k artists speaking out against sasaengs nowadays. this way hopefully korean's legislative would actually take greater action on the matter and not take it lightly any longer

I wonder sometimes if the sasaeng fans actually know that they are sasaeng fans. Or do they think in their minds “Oh I’m not like those crazy fans I just follow Oppa. I’m not doing anything to hurt him.” Do these people genuinely know that they are doing wrong or do they think they are just supporting Oppa.
Why don’t the companies of the artists try and reach out to these children/adults to see if they possibly need help. Are the companies just waiting for them to get too out of line before they actually step in and protect their "product".

The companies in general aren't going to do anything to defuse the escalation. The ugly truth is that the crazy fans who stalk and endanger the artists are also the crazy fans who spend ridiculous amounts of money on the artist's products and therefore provide revenue for the artist's company. The companies' main interest is in making money; I think most of them are going to continue to tolerate the crazy fans in the interest of keeping the cash coming in.

JGS's company may be more willing to take action because his company is basically him; it'll be interesting to see if JGS is willing to risk the revenue and actually do something about this, like calling the police on these fans, assuming there are charges that can be brought.

they definitely know what they're doing is wrong, and that they're sasaeng fans. then have specific taxis that cater to them and follow idols cars around all day, and they spend exorbitant amounts of money to follow them and do what they can to get near them. many of them stop going to school or completely ignore their studies to fund their hobbies, and they have online cafes where they plan their stalking and meet up with each other to do it.

there's a very odd psychology to this whole thing which i'm still trying to wrap my head around. i actually don't think many of them would do this if they were the only ones doing so; it's probably a lot of mob mentality and the need to be acknowledged, no matter the circumstance, by someone they obsess over.

The mob mentality thing.... If they are some kind of club and meeting online, then there is also the possibility of them being in competition with each other. To see who can get the best dirt on their idols, who can get the most reaction from their idols, etc. to gain notoriety. They are driving themselves to more and more risky behavior.

I honestly don't think anything will be done (by authorities) until an idol gets physically hurt. Terrible thing to say but laws are always reactionary.

but idols (Super Junior) have gotten physically hurt by sasaengs. And yet, no help from authorities.

idols have gotten hurt, many were almost killed in car crashes and changmin got hit with rocks, and a finger smashed into a door. while Yunho was poisoned. So I think until an idol a popular idol esp DIES nothing will probably be done. and certainly not by SM.

this is sad tho, because the sasaengs are probably happy to be acknowledged by him even if it is in a bad way.

honestly? yeah, it's harsh, but it's well said. i'm glad more k-stars are speaking up about it, instead of remaining hush-hush about this taboo subject because they might appear ungrateful for "the reason to their success". no, it's a problem, and because no one seems to be doing anything about it yet (at least not legally), people can't help but resort to shitty methods to keep the stalking at bay. people should know by now that there should be (yet aren't) proper means out there to stop sasaengs, just because celebrities are wealthy/famous doesn't make them any less human than you and i. sasaengs, on the other hand...

These girls have serious issues, they're so obsessed with trying to get the unattainable that they're pushing themselves further away from real life. Get help sasaengs before you can't turn back.

sasaengs are going beyond normal stalking (lol normal stalking....)

i can't imagine this behavior to be anything but detrimental to one's life, they need to talk to someone about this compulsive/pathological behavior.

Why cane they call the cops on theses fans. Isn't stalking illegal? And dangerous driving? I don't know why celebs are not harsher on these so call fans. Invasion of privacy, trespassing... if they were thrown in jail then these acts will stop.

There must first be laws against it for them to press charges.

Not surprised...birds of a feather and all with him and Heechul.

Stalkers be stalking

His family also lives in his company building so I could imagine the fans are VERY annoying

Poor JGS :/ They really need to stop. The fact that he tweeted about it makes them a bit more excited tbh because they know they're getting acknowledged but can't they stop now? Even when 'your oppa' is telling you to stop and is angry about what you're doing to him, you still continue?

It's good to see more and more Korean celebrities speaking out against these crazies and this should encourage the Korean government to start making laws to protect celebrities. But the sad thing is celebrities speaking out about this issue is probably only encouraging sasaengs to keep doing what they are doing.

gosh...these kind of people are so pathetic.
Never mind the intrusion of privacy and the rudeness of imposing your presence of someone else's life.

I hope these girls find a life, a boyfriend, a friend..SOMETHING and move on with their life.
IDK why they do these things but it's pathetic, sick, and disturbing.

Whenever I see "OMG MY HUBBY EXO HAVE SEX WITH ME" shit on tumblr...I'm terrified of these delusional people.

Don't even get me started on 1D fans -___-
