Group B1A4’s member Gongchan received a kidney removal surgery today. (23rd)
According to Gongchan’s doctor “Gongchan’s diagnoses was an apriority narrowing of his kidney pelvis ureter in which one side of his kidney was not able to function and therefore received surgery.”
B1A4’s company WM Entertainment claimed “Gongchan was experiencing pains on his side during Baby Good Night promotions and was diagnosed with kidney problems when consulting with the doctor. However, his strong will to undergo surgery once the Baby Good Night promotions were over delayed his surgery. Whenever Gongchan would experience pains he would take pain killers and go on with his promotions with bright looks, making it unaware to fellow B1A4 members and fans. He also didn’t want the fans to worry so asked to keep information of the surgery quiet.”
Currently, Gongchan’s surgery has gone successfully and is recovering in the hospital. He will be hospitalized for a week.
Once he is out of the hospital there should be no problems with everyday life but will need to avoid promotions for the time being.
On the other hand, B1A4 finished their album promotions and will star in KBS JOY’s “B1A4’s Hello Baby” set to air on July 25th and hopes to show a different side to them.
