Date: 2012-07-12 11:15 pm (UTC)I love Wooyoung but as I feared, he's not pulling this off. For starters, 2NITE is such a Jun K. song that it should've been saved for Junsu's solo. The Sexy Lady song looks like a failed Wheesung concept and sounds like a scrapped JYP solo track. What little parts Wooyoung actually sings doesn't even sound like him? The dance break was the best part but I think he can do better; the choreo itself is also kinda basic. I know he's nervous and maybe the stages will become more polished with time but rn I'm not feelin this solo at all. Sorry, Ang Ang.

Date: 2012-07-12 11:27 pm (UTC)Baekho has clearly practiced a lot as far as vocals go because he seemed to struggle a lot less with singing live this time around. It almost looked easy for him to hit and sustain all of those more difficult notes. Hella impressive.
I also appreciate that even though Ren def isn't in the group for his voice, he still tries really hard and sings live as much as possible. His vocals do seem to be getting better though (as do Aron's).
I'm even softening to Ren's janky weave (shockingly enough), but what the hell is JR's hair? Dear god, what a hot mess. It looks like a rejected "Supa Luv" hairstyle.

Date: 2012-07-13 02:57 am (UTC)Wooyoung does not have the stage presence to be a solo performer, and his random singing during the chorus seemed... well, random, which isn't good. That said, "Sexy Lady" is kind of a jam. I could totally add it to "What Makes You Beautiful" as songs I semi-ashamedly rock out waaaaaaaay too hard to.
I don't know who N-Train is but they were pretty good. A-Jax was also good and I like the song.
"Hot Boy" is a hot mess. Their voices are also really, really annoying imo. And anything that is predominately reminiscent of LMFAO just needs to... not exist.
I don't understand SuJu's jackets or why the fuck Ryeowook has a peter pan collar that looks like it was glued onto his shirt. HaeKyuMin are too damn fine to make me actually care much about anything else. *grabby hands*
I totally forgot what "La Cha Ta sounds" like! It's slower than I remembered. And f(x) are so beautiful it's unreal, seriously. They need to stop parting Krystal's hair in the middle though; very few people look better with a middle part than something else >___>
