I actually to Akon which the rare section of my iPod that's out of its usual genre. A rap artist was actually a sensible collab? I dunno. Getting Katy to sing would've been awk? I mean there are already 5 girls. Hope this gets lotsa airplay.
I personally don't think they need a feature artist, or if they do then it should be someone with a still prominent career, but still don't get the akon hate. 'The DJ is Mine' was fine and this will be too
I have probably like only about 2 songs that Akon has ever released and a few years ago I was in hell when he (and T-Pain) was being played everywhere. But luckily Wonder Girls awesomeness and knack for a catchy beat rubbed off on Akon and he seems pretty decent here. Cant wait for this!!
Kpop needs to take baby steps. At least Akon is still on the radio whereas Kim* (Se7en's feature) or Sean Garrett (Boa's feature) were not. So, big step for Kpop.
The only way they could do better without reaching too hard (Kanye, Jay, Eminem, etc tier) rn is Pitbull or maybe Guetta. I think they'll be ok.
*though I did scream for joy during the extremely rare moments where "Magic Stick" was on radio

Seriously at the shade being throw at Akon, lbr without Akon this song wouldn't get much attention outside of Kpop circles, so what if he's not the best, it's not like they were gonna get Kanye or Jay Z to feature now were they. What they'd need is some track produced by one of them but this isn't bad. Though Akon isn't that popular these days. If the track is good and JYP promotes it well we could have the first real Korean Pop shot at the US.
In b4 SM tries to debut Soshi in the US with Chris Brown or something.
