Recently, YG Enterainment uploaded a clip of four our trainees with the title “Future 2NE1 (4 Years later)” that cause quite a stir among 2ne1 fans.

Star News spoke directly with Yang Hyunsuk who responded to the brewing rumors that there would be member replacements withing 2ne1, stating:

The video was called future 2NE1 because they are working hard to be a great girl group like their 2NE1 unnies. 2NE1 will always consist of CL, Dara, Bom, and Minji. There will be no member changes, so fans should not misunderstand or worry.

why would they think there'd be member changes?!?!?! and come on, it's YGE (or kpop in general) - they like to compare people, things, everything else under the blue sky.

but real question is when YGE will debut their new girl group. wasn't it said previously that the debut will be in summer or something? i don't care about trainees that's going to debut in 4 years - I ONLY CARE ABOUT NOW, YG!

The title is so wrong in my opinion. I didn't though about member changes but I thought it was kind of 'they are going to be what 2ne1 was supposed to be' since YG president always give me the feeling that he is not happy with them at all :/

imo it was unnecessary drama from the fans. YG has been doing this comparison thing since 4ever. Even Big Bang was called the future Seo Taiji and Boys or Korean B2K. 2NE1 was the female Big Bang. The new girl group is the new Girls Generation and Supearls is the new Big Mama. It don't mean any of the "old" groups are going anywhere.
