Sunggyu's not BAD per se but it's pretty obvious that he's not on the same level as the rest - whether in terms of performance or vocal ability. (And does he really need to take a breath every few seconds?) So it was a pretty smart choice to play up the fun stuff, I guess.

Date: 2012-07-01 02:12 pm (UTC)Its the reason why I don't like Hyorin and can't get into Ailee (the first is worse offender). Its really shows that, despite having natural talent, they are rookies. They don't understand the concept of building a song, just showing off that they can sing. They have to prove they are talented every note, which ends up making them look less so.
I do think Ailee has been improving on it, though.

Sunggyu is doing ok with what he has to work with. Not quite sure what is up with his breath support, since he is not this bad in Infinite. I know he was a rocker before joining Infinite, so maybe he should try something like that.
Ryeowook, I just don't know what do about you. I want to watch you're performances cause I like you and you're talented, but your voice tone...I did really really enjoy your performances this time.
