SHINee recently spoke with Sankei Sports after their concert on June 24 at the Yoyogi Gymnasium in Tokyo to mark the beginning of their arena tour, which attracted over 12000 attendees. SHINee opened with their hit song “Sherlock” and performed multiple other popular tracks from their previous albums.

SHINee members made known to their fans their determination to bring future activities to Japan. SHINee leader Onew joked, “If by next autumn we can establish an official Japanese fan club, we’d like to even perform a dinner show for our fans.” SHINee is currently celebrating a one year anniversary since their entrance into the Japanese music industry.

Member Key nicely summed up the group’s ambitions for Japan with the statement, “We’d like to perform at the Tokyo dome at least once in our lifetime.”

Starting July, SHINee will be embarking on a large-scale tour to make stops in all of the biggest cities in Asia. They recently wrapped up a tour back in 2010 to 2011 which included stops in New York, London, Paris, Sydney where they experienced a rise in popularity around the globe. This will be their first Asia tour since their last successful global tour.

can you imagine those wolverine claws in the tokyo dome?!?

lol, me either. it's so ridiculous and unnecessary.

actually, this goes for all their concerts what with the random flying and pointless use of harnesses...

LMAO, the harnesses give me lots of lulz. Like when they make jjong fly into the air just for his 7 sec (guessing) high note in Juliette and put him back down O_O

I guess it's supposed to look flashy, but it ends up more sloppy than anything else.

ugh i hate that shit. it's so tacky. shinee are already good performers, there's no need for it.

The harnesses were cute for a little bit, but after a while...

JE boys do that in their concerts too. Maybe it lets the fans at the back see them better. I keep imagining them dripping sweat all over the fans down below though, seems kind of yucky.

lol, i get really bad secondhand embarrassment from them, especially when they attempt at "sexy faces/positions" while at it. :(

Oh bbs, people can hardly see the performers at tokyo dome. How about a concert in my house? I think I can compromise to that.

Hopefully, they achieve their goal.

Anyways, this is too cute. Also, jjong is so strong and it's doing things to me...

sadly, we know that isn't going to happen, what with the many irrelevant (well, maybe that's a little too harsh, non-deserving?) groups who have invaded the dome space. i don't want to sound like a bitter kitty, but it's true. anyway, dbsk worked and paved the way to japan for themselves, and in the long run, through observation, for the rest of the hallyu wave as well. i don't think anyone else has to work as hard as them, or even put in half the effort they did, to get to where dbsk did. in all honesty.

SHINee bbs, you'll get there, too, one day. Just like the Daesang you guys want. All a matter of time. :)

Eh, for me, I'm against for them to take that big venue. But hey, it's not bad to dream for it. There will be the right time and place for that dream to come true, they just have to be patient.

I was at their Osaka dome concert, and for a pretty small venue, it was so damn hard to see them. And my seat was a lot better than most people. A concert at Tokyo Dome must be like watching 5 little ants running around stage. They should do some of Johnny's tricks with their moving stages and whatnot to get closer to the fans.

And enough with the wire action. From the rehearsal footages, it seems like it hurts them a lot :(

Awww this is cute~

Well I don't think SHINee's gonna reach that kind of fame (both in SK and Japan) but I hope they'll reach a certain longevity in the music industry so they can have more input into their musical stuff. I'm forever waiting for a composition from them, not just lyrics. ^^
