It has been revealed that the charming high school girls that delivered hints to the SBS ‘Running Man‘ members on the June 10th broadcast of the variety show are actually members of an upcoming girl group.
An insider from idol group INFINITE‘s agency Woollim Entertainment informed OSEN on June 11th, “A few girl group members from our company who are preparing for their debut featured on ‘Running Man’ as high school students. Three members in total made an appearance on the episode, and they are all girl group trainees.”
Among the three, member Yoo Jiae first made her television debut in 2010 when she made an appearance on Mnet‘s ‘INFINITE! You Are My Oppa‘. She has been maintaining a fan base ever since.
Yoo Jiae and the other two girls are collectively being called ‘Woollim girl group’, and they will be making their debut sometime this year.

So with the already confirmed Baby Soul and Yoo Jia, that's 5 members for the upcoming girl group. Very exciting. They were all super cute on RM as well.

- Dal Shabet's Supa Dupa Diva, it's actually would be better if it's done by girls younger than them but the song is annoyingly good and catchy and the wardrobe match the concept quite well? no?
- and umn I know many people will disagree but I think AKB48 with Heavy Rotation is too (not the MV, though they all look good there), and idk why Japanese kind of 'cute' is a lot more natural than Korean?
- I would love to say Girls Day's Twinkle2 and Hug Me Once but they always overacting during the performance, but I think the MV of Hug Me Once is nicely cute.
I'm not sure though, what do you think about cute concept? I mean what's the example for you?
I don't think Woollim will ever do something like 1 and 2 though, the company is too 'cool' for that lol.

Date: 2012-06-14 06:26 am (UTC)For me, basically the cute concept is like what SNSD and other girl groups always come out with -- song with high-pitched voices, with mindless & repetitive lyrics and overly sweet melodies. I tried and forced my self to like it(?) but just can't stand it. T.T I usually like female singers who sing ballade & powerful songs. :))

Date: 2012-06-14 10:35 am (UTC)and yeah no need to force yourself I guess it's just taste, for me I like cute looking girls with catchy music because kpop is for easy entertainment anyway (but no, they all aren't the same, and for mindless and repetitive lyric a lot of boy groups also doing that).
I like some ballad but I prefer something like Shiina Ringo for female soloist.

The only 2 confirmed members are Baby Soul and Yoo Jia, even these girls aren't officially confirmed for the girl group, just that they are Woollim trainees preparing for a debut this year. Which pretty much says they will be in the girl group, but who knows, things change.
