idk, despite the sales or other good thing that EXO has achieved, I didn't really feel that they really has make it. Deep down, I somehow feel BAP has more recognition and being more well accepted by Korean public. They didn't give me much impact that I actually expecting from them... EXO-M has yet to sing live, right? :(((
Tbh, most of SM groups tend to be well known among idol fans but not so particularly good with general public for the exception of SNSD. MAMA is a good track but is not impressive enough to attract people's attention. Imo, korean public tend to like catchy/cute and mindless fun songs.. Don't worry bb, all they need is a breakthrough song to get their name out there, tbh i'm just surprised that SM is not whoring out EXO member in variety show.
Well like turtles_tszx mentioned they are an SM group and other than SNSD most of their boy groups aren't particularly well known with the general public. They sell albums but they don't do well digitally.
I think that depending on the direction EXO goes for their next album they might be able to gain more recognition, MAMA wasn't particularly mainstream. They also need to go more on variety shows. I don't really know what SM is planning on doing with them though because I feel like they haven't really been promoted that much outside of music shows and radio shows.
