The first sweet and romantic still of Yoon Seung Ah and Donghae in their drama Panda and Hedgehog has been released.
The Channel A rom-com is about a "patisserie named Ko Seung-ji (Lee Dong-hae) who has been an orphan since young and always has his guard on like a porcupine until he meets the peaceful and easygoing Pan Da-yang (Yoon Seung Ah), owner of ‘Cafe Panda’."
Panda and Hedgehog is slated to have a July premiere.

Super Junior's Donghae and actress Yoon Seung Ah will star together for Channel A’s “Miss Panda and Mr. Porcupine” drama (produced by Ryan Fish production/representative Song Hae Seong). The filming and setting of the drama was revealed.
Donghae in “Miss Panda and Mr. Porcupine” will establish a visual genius like a porcupine. Seung Ah will be a carefree cafe owner. The cake will eventually continue to draw like a sweet love.
Not long ago, in Ilsan, where Donghae and Seung Ah were filming “Miss Panda and Mr. Porcupine,” they were seen having a good time filming. Yoon Seung Ah and Donghae have known each other even before they started filming the drama. You can almost feel the guarantee of “Cafe Panda” by the bright smiles of the two people plastered on their faces. The drama will surely lead to greater expectations for a sweet romance.
Donghae said, "If you want to dream about summer romance and the new beginning of romance, please watch our drama and you will get a lot of expectations to it."
On the other hand, Yoon Seung Ah added, "In the warm weather, the actors and staffs are really nice and very fun to work with. Please support our drama," she said.
Miss Panda and Mr. Porcupine will be produced by Ryan Fish’s production company.
"Donghae and Seung Ah knew each other even when the cameras weren’t rolling. They know exactly how to be affectionate and completely immersed and how to act their characters really well. When they are on break, they will read the scripts and will character out their actions based on their romantic scripts. Both of them worked really hard shooting the drama," the director said.
On the other hand, the actors for the drama will be Donghae, Yoon Seung Ah, Choi Jinhyuk, Yu Soyoung, and Lee Moonhee. The actors will surely accumulate a lot of interest. “Miss Panda and Mr. Porcupine” will be a romantic-comedy with a hint of love story drama that will be broadcasted on Channel A this summer.

OP comment: Erm, I'm not sure if the official translation is supposed to be Porcupine or Hedgehog, but I like Porcupine better since it creates a nice alliteration with Panda... also, "Donghae in 'Miss Panda and Mr. Porcupine' will establish a visual genius like a porcupine." Not really seeing the porcupine/hedgehog hair. IDK, to me, his hair looks about on par with his A-Cha hairstyle. But will not lie, am excited for this. After Skip Beat ended, I missed me some DramaHae. His hair in the new drama looks like this, no?

I find it interesting that Hae's playing an orphan in this drama.
He seems to enjoy picking roles in which the character has parents issues. In IODG, the parents were abusive deadbeats. In Skip Beat, the dad was strict and hit him. Now he's playing an orphan. Speaking of orpha, this was the first thing that came to mind:

Have Donghae fans actually petitioned against Hae having any romantic scenes? I mean, shouldn't ELFs be used to it with Siwon? Or is it just only Hae that gets this fan reaction? Because I was totally rooting for a Sho and Kyoko kiss in Skip Beat.
Most Donghae fans are chill, right? I haven't met too many unreasonable online fans via here and certain Suju sites, then again, I don't really interact with too many haha. Though I did read some fan comments from Donghae's WGM episodes with Eunseo and some fans were being ridiculous. They were either raging against Eunseo or raging that Donghae's "married" partner wasn't Eunhyuk. *facepalms* they should all know that this is better:

Date: 2012-06-05 01:01 pm (UTC)there are some batshitcrazy fans out there when it comes to ELF thinking they own the guys. some individual fans of members aren't so insane. with the whole skip beat thing, Chinese/Taiwanese fans flat out stated they would be disappointed IF Donghae (note it was more about Donghae than Siwon) had a kissing scene. even Donghae himself (ah!!!! that pabo!!!) said that he asked the director to not put a kissing scene in there to protect ELF.
idgi, if these fans want him to succeed as an actor they shouldn't limit him. although a kissing scene isn't always a make it or break it, but it will hinder him if serious directors feel that certain scenes are needed - including kissing. and mr. pabo donghae himself needs to stop kissing ELF butt and really look at his future. real fans will get over it, and accept it. immature fans can jump in a lake.

I always thought the Taiwanese fans were more chill, they didn't seem to attack Ivy or anything like that knowing Ivy would choke Donghae in EP10 or kiss Siwon ... they seemed to encourage it. Dunno about the Chinese or Korean fans though. But they do seem more intense to me.

and yeah i agree, some of his korean and chinese fans (although i'm noticing more of the non english speaking ones) are intense and irrational from what i've read.

Fighting Junior + Donghae was hilarious. They kept calling him namja samho to his chagrin.
HaeSeo scenes were cute and Donghae's fails were just hilarious.
I think with time, they would have been a lot of funner. But with that blind date and the first date, they were still stuck in that shy and awkward phase. It would have been a lot of fun to see how their "relationship" would have progressed if the strike hadn't effected the show.
