With the recent release of Big Bang‘s latest single, “MONSTER“, there’s been a lot of buzz about Taeyang‘s bizarre hairstyle in the music video. Some fans have expressed their disappointment with his new look, while others have shrugged it off. Despite the mixed reactions, it seems Taeyang is loving his new hairdo.

On June 2nd, the idol took to his twitter and left a short message that read, “MICKY MOUSE HAIR. LOVE IT..!”

Fans had diverse reactions to Taeyang’s tweet responding with, “I’m sorry, but it looks ridiculous“, “I miss your mohawk“, and “Put up a tutorial video on Youtube. I want to learn how to style my hair like that!”

Big Bang achieves an all-kill with “MONSTER” on real-time music charts!

Big Bang‘s latest track, “MONSTER” has kicked off with a bang!

On June 3rd, the song rose to number one on numerous real-time music charts including, Melon, Olleh, Soribada, M-Net, Bugs, Naver, Cyworld, and Dosirak. This adds another all-kill record to their list. In addition to “MONSTER”, other tracks from their ‘Still Alive‘ album, such as “Feeling” and “Bingle Bingle” have also managed to place themselves in the top ten.

“Still Alive” which was co-produced by Hyundai Card will be available to purchase from offline parties starting on June 6th. Meanwhile, Big Bang is continuing the Japanese leg of their world tour, they are expected to perform in front of 255,000 total audience members.

For MVs, performances, and photoshoots I'd say yes. The stylists probably take into account what the members are comfortable wearing tho. I don't think they like /force/ them y'know(ex. Tabi). I think Dara is just up for anything lol she's just a good sport. I don't think Taeyang would be overly concerned/fussy with those things. He is also just oblivious and probably thought it looked cool lol

With Big Bang I'm guessing they genuinely like what they wear most of the times. I'm sure GD has a say in things he wears, TOP too cos I really can't picture anyone forcing anything onto those two. Dara just rolls with it.

I think this MV was going for a very specific concept of the group's visuals being on the edge of bizarre and outre, even for them, so it's not like the members just rolled up and picked out outfits and styles they particularly liked or anything. And even so, the individual styles they've created for themselves came through a bit.

I'd really love to know how much creative input BB has into their music videos and concepts. For instance, in this video, how much are they interpreting visual concepts created by someone else, and how much is their own choice? It'd be fun to know.

I don't care either. I've seen some of the Wonder Bang performances when I got into kpop and I'm just meh about them. I can kinda get why they were a big deal. 2 top groups doing performances together with some skinship, which doesn't happen much. I know SNSD/2pm did some things at the gayos like 2 yrs ago, but that was a one time thing. The other dance collabs tend to be nugu groups and they barely get close. I like some of WG songs. I enjoyed their album from last yr more than their new one. It's kinda annoying seeing all the Wonder Bang comments at times. I doubt they are gonna do them again.

i thought the fashion choices here were much better compared to their previous videos. definitely loving daesung's new hair and that chest plate. i wish i had a body like that. lol! and taeyang doesn't look as annoying. i actually like what he's wearing. it fits the whole monster/anime theme. but that hair is funny. i come to expect it from him already. i just wish i like the song as much as i like the video. :o\

The video is way over the top, style-wise, but that makes it fun to me -- like a mini-movie. Go big or go home, that's the Big Bang style, and I love it.

I didn't really take to Monster at first listen, but it's grown on me a lot, especially after I read the translation of the lyrics, and now I'm into it. I LOVE Still Alive and Feeling (which is a surprise as I didn't really love the version in Japanese), along Bingle Bingle and Ego, which I already loved from the Japanese version.

Bingle Bingle totally cracks me up too, because the idea of the Big Bang guys, or really, GD, since he wrote it, being friend-zoned and whining to get out of it (hint: complaining is not how you get a girl into you when she's not), is a total total riot. I have to say, this is one of the many reasons I love GD -- I cannot imagine any other K-pop idol writing about this. I love how expansive GD's emotional range is -- anger and defiance, heartfelt pleading, sexual highs, humiliated whining, and chatting about how he wants the hottie even more cause she doesn't want him. From the heights of drama and romance, to the conversation you have with your buddy in the lounge -- he expresses it all. Go GD!

I wouldn't have minded Taeyang's hair so much if it was meant to be funny...if it was in a crazy video (I know Monster was a little crazy but in a different way altogether) it could have made me giggle but it was just a bit too ridiculous as it was. Oh well...
