Super Junior's Donghae and actress Yoon Seung Ah have been cast as a couple in 'Miss Panda and Porcupine.'

On May 22nd, a broadcasting representative told Newsen, "Yoon Seung Ah and Donghae will appear together on 'Miss Panda and Porcupine.' The airing time will be confirmed in the future. They are currently filming."

Channel A's 'Miss Panda and Porcupine' is a romantic comedy about baking. Yoon Seung Ah gained much fame after appearing in MBC's 'Moon Embraces the Sun' while Donghae appeared in his first k-drama, 'It's Ok, Daddy's Daughter back in 2010 and his second drama in the Taiwanese adaptation of the Japanese manga, 'Skip Beat.'

'Miss Panda and Porcupine' will air its first episode on July.

Actor Yoon Seungah and group Super Junior’s member Donghae have been predicted as a new romantic couple.

A rep revealed to OSEN recently that Yoon Seungah and Donghae have been confirmed as the leads in a drama on Channel A.

“Pandayang and Porcupine” (written by Han Joon Young, directed by Lee Ha) is a romantic comedy about bakers and it tells a sweet and heartwarming story that takes place where breads are made.

In “Pandayang and Porcupine,” Yoon Seungah’s first name is Dayang and her last name is Pan. Pan Dayang is quirky yet serious. Donghae plays a character named Goh Seungji. Goh Seungji’s nickname is Porcupine. The title of the drama is the two leads’ name and nickname put together.

Yoon Seungah has shown a memorable acting in the drama “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” and also has shown her lovely and quirky charms in the sitcom “All my Love.” She’s receiving a lot of expectation on what kind of romantic comedy acting she will show in “Pandayang and Porcupine.”

Despsite being his debut work, Donghae perfectly managed to act his character Choi Wookgi in the drama “It’s Okay, Daddy’s Girls.”

Recently, dramas on general programming channels deal with middle aged couples, first love and adultery. So the young actors Yoon Seungah and Donghae are expected to become a breath of fresh air. With the two actors’ cute and vivacious appeals, they will become a great romantic comedy couple.

Beside Yoon Seungah and Donghae, former member of After School, Yoo Soyoung and actor Choi Jinhyuk who appeared in the SBS daily drama “My daughter, the Flower” and with Donghae as his older onscreen brother in "It’s Okay, Daddy’s Girls" will also appear in the drama.

According to the rep, “Pandayang and Porcupine” will be filmed in its entirety before the first broadcast. The drama will be filmed starting in the middle of this month for 3 months and then it will be broadcast in July after “Goodbye my Wife” ends.

I say any drama that features Donghae and Jinhyuk together again is a win. Mokpo boys represent. Their bromance is pretty awesome though. And this drama seems kinda low-budget at this point? Apparently, Donghae's Chinese fans heard about him missing lunch due to being busy filming, so they made him a care package that included a freaking macbook, lunch for him and the cast and crew, etc. He even tweeted about it.

OT: I finally saw this man at SMTownLA in Anaheim and he's gorgeous as he's adorable. There were Donghae fanboys that got caught by the live screamcams. Apparently, Donghae brings the boys and girls to the yard. And yes he kisscamed and I can't believe someone got this because security was a bitch.

Yeah, he posted those pics of him way back in January, which means he must have been prepping for this role for a long ass time. I mean, filming didn't start until this month, even though news leaked around March/April that the reason he learned to bake cakes was for this role.
