Dineyra - Raqsga tushgin

Sound familiar? xD That's right, it's Genie, but... the Uzbekistanian/Turkic/whatever version. This was actually a pretty good song. I prefer Genie for how much more upbeat it is, but this one is nice too in its mellow mood. :) More sultry and seductive. What do you think?

Oh and people are of course going to get into a huff over SM being unoriginal again, but remember that there was all this acclaim over Yoo YoungJin having helped write it. The way I see it, there's two things that could be going on.

1) SM is a big liar and homg plagiarism.
2) Yoo YoungJin did write the song, but sold it to Dineyra as well.

I hope SM isn't stupid enough to have done the former!

YYJ only did the lyrics and additional arrangements. Personally, I think he made the song rockin'. ... Did I just say that? I did, didn't I? xD

Anyway, there's also rumors that Genie has the only official copyrighted release, sooooo there might be a big no no move from someone after all. It's just a rumor, though, and I would take it with a grain of salt.

Oh, to clarify something about all these claims that SM is remaking. Just because one version was released earlier, does not mean that SM heard the release and decided to remake it. DongBangs stated they started to record Mirotic long before Sarah Connor's release of the song.

In the meantime, remember that a good song is a good song and this is pop - how much originality can we really expect? xD Some of my favorite SM Town songs have actually been the co-copyrighted releases.
