4Minute HyunA will transform as WonderGirls after 2 years.

As the ex-member of WonderGirls, HyunA will perform WonderGirls’ ‘Tell Me’ during the Heros performance on Mnet M!Countdown on 2nd July.

HyunA left WonderGirls in 2007 and then went into training again after that, and recently she came back debuting as 4Minute again with the song ‘Hot Issue’. The song ‘Hot Issue’ is up at #1, #2 spots on music shows and various music charts with So Nyeo Shi Dae’s ‘Tell Me Your Wish’.

Much interests are put into the fact that HyunA will be performing WonderGirls’ song after 2 years. There were much talk about HyunA feeling it regretful for leaving WonderGirls, there was also a video her filming for the MV ‘Tell Me’ circulating online

with the way people only pay attention to hyun ah, i wouldn't be surprised if they just wrote the article about her though.
it will be most sensible to use all 5 girls though. hopefully that's the case!

yeah and apparently she was that supergirl in that video too. so sohee ended up becoming the supergirl AND the dance break originally meant for hyun ah. and look at how popular sohee has become..

8D i'm glad they redid it. was the sound sped up or something...? that sounds weird. the dancing was also a bit off. i'm glad they redid it.

also - i don't remember what sohee's dance looked like, but i wouldn't have wanted this one no matter how much better or worse it was. :x

You know, this group is starting to grow on me. Even so, the one thing that has been putting me off is the Hyunah-centricism, particularly in relation to her WG past. I know it's a fact that cannot be ignored or erased, and it's a shame she had to leave and right before the girls went on to super stardom.

However, I'm curious as to how long this is gonna go on.

She's in a new group now. She's not Hyunah the ex-Wonder Girl, she's Hyunah of 4minute. At least I'd like to think she is.

I'm trying to be optimistic that eventually they'll stop trying to milk the connection for everything its worth and actually focus on promoting the group for the present membership rather than the connection to an unfortunate past, and that Hyunah will be able to carve out her own place in the industry.

However, this makes me feel like Hyunah is desperate to relive the past and be a Wonder Girl again. Which I must confess I find a bit tragic and mildly creepy.

I don't know, maybe after she does this she can really move on.

it's not as if she chooses to do all of these things..
cube and others are mostly the ones milking this.

they really want attention using her past as a wonder girl.
and of course, interviewers are always going to ask her about wonder girls..

i agree though, i wish they wouldn't use it so much.

but more recently hyun ah hasn't been the center of the group like she was at the very beginning, which i think is a good thing.

I don't get the point.

If she didn't re-debut as 4Minute, I would've been able to accept this better, since she would always be a member of the Wonder Girls. But HyunAh decided to leave the group, regretted it, and now she's back in 4Minute. IDK why they have to bring us back to her WG days. It seems like they're trying to use the popularity of WG, so that it would rub off a little on 4Minute, making a big deal out of HyunAh being an ex-WG.

Besides, what does this make of Yoobin?

I thought she was trying to break into the industry again with the attitude of a "newcomer." Reminding us that she was once part of WG, IDK, it kinda defeats the purpose.
