SMTOWN 2012 Meetup in Los Angeles

It's that time of the year again! SMTOWN brought their concert tour for the first time to California in 2010, performing a successful concert at the Staples Center. Last year, SMTOWN visited the East coast and performed at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

This year, SM Entertainment is bringing the 3rd round of the SMTOWN Live World Tour back to California, which will showcase their artists such as BoA, TVXQ, CJSH The Grace, Super Junior, Girl's Generation, SHINee, f(x), and their newly debuted act, EXO.

In 2010, Koreaboo held a fan meetup in conjunction with SMTOWN LA 2010, that saw 10 of the most recognized SM artists' international fansites participating, as well as over 3,000 fans attending.

On May 20th, Koreaboo will be holding yet another SMTOWN meetup prior to this year's concert in Anaheim with free shuttle service from the Anaheim Convention Center to the concert that will be held at the Honda Center.

International fan forums such as SHINee Forums International (SFI), SJ-World, DBSKnights, Chocolyn, Code EXO, and iheartfx among others are set to join the festivities and will provide SMTOWN fans with goodies in preparation for the concert.

Not only that, but Koreaboo will hold several contests, such as dancing and singing contests, and giveaways throughout the meetup.



In addition, Koreaboo's media sponsor, Mnet, will be present at the event with their film crew! Fans attending the meetup will have the chance to appear on Mnet's top shows airing in both Korea and the United States.

I'm so conflicted! On one hand, I'm going to the concert all by myself and I kind of want to at least know somebody who's going as I have no IRL kpop friends. On the other hand, I'd feel like such an awkward noob. >.<

What time do you guys think would be the best time to arrive? I have a regular ticket, not VIP. I don't want to miss out on the merch or stand in line for like, three hours. I was thinking 5:30?

it's unclear if merch will be sold as of yet.

if you wanna meet people, it might be a good idea to go to the meetup at 12. the fanclubs are distributing their cheerpacks (not sure they will have much extra to sell) and there will be games, giveaways, etc.

PS i can guarantee you won't be an awkward noob ^^ and if u r lbr it's a concert full of kpop nerds lmao

there are tickets left at powerhouse :) at $85, $150, $300 plus lots of people are selling them. and i'm sure you would easily make friends there ^^ i'm going and i'm sure a lot of other omona members are going so...

I'm not going to the show this year but man oh man, the Kboo meetup in '10 was EPIC. I had SO much fun. I don't think I've ever felt that connected and free before. Everyone was like family. I know this is sounding corny as hell, but seriously, I got to meet so many people I had previously only met online, made lasting connections, enjoyed LA, enjoyed Kpop, and of course, SM. Plus, I was staying at the same hotel the artists were at so yeah... it was basically the best trip ever, and the Koreaboo meetup was a big part of that. I wish I could go to this one too; I'm actually more excited hearing about this meetup than I was hearing about the show itself. I'm just so broke right now lol.
