Exid Changes Members

Shinsadong Tiger′s girl group, EXID, will undergo changes in its members.

On April 30, EXID’s agency, AB Entertainment revealed, “Original members Yoo Ji, Dami and Hye Ryung will leave the group and two members will be recruited.”

Regarding the reasons for the member change the agency said, “For Yoo Ji and Dami, the two decided to depart the group for academic reasons while Hye Ryung will be changing her career and start new activities there.”

The agency continued, “After we recruit the two members, we will begin album preparations in a new manner so please pay attention and be in anticipation of them."

EXID debuted in March with the single Holla and title song Whoz That Girl. After transforming from a six-member group to a five-member group, they plan to release a new album in June.

so it was EXID that the guy was talking about....kpop moves at such a pace that i can't even rmb what girl group article this inside info came out of...was it that t-ara article abt member changes?
anyway, i rmb the guy saying that one of the members was causing trouble in the group - and i believe it. i mean, it doesnt make any sense whatsoever to get rid of the most vocally talented members in the group. the academic reasons thing is also such bull....a few months into your debut, after training for so long, and you suddenly want to study again?

I JUST got into this group a couple of days ago because of a performance of "When you believe" by Yuji, dami and some other chick. I was thinking how talented Yuji and dami was and how far they could go. Ah well lol

Yooji isn't exactly a newbie out for her fifteen minutes of fame; with all the training she's had I doubt she just willingly left to go back to studying. Most likely it's not them just deciding to leave, but the record company booting them out and covering it up by saying it was the girls' decision - not the company's. I'd take AB Entertainment's explanation with a grain of salt, tbh.

Ugh no, I was really looking forward to hearing more from these girls. I thought Shinsadong Tiger would help them into a somewhat stable career, even if their debut song wasn't a huge hit.

It's so frustrating to read they've already started switching members. Especially Yooji, my heart is bleeding a little tbh, she has such a powerful yet non-grating voice ;__; And at the same time she came across as both feminine and strong and with LE gave the group a tougher, maturer feel. (Maybe we'll get to see her in a new group? I don't really believe she wanted to leave for academic reasons...)

Hopefully EXID isn't over yet and the new members will last longer than Yooji, Dami and Hyeryung.

Wasn't there some rumor posted like last month or earlier this month about a girl group having issues? Must've been EXID. I remember someone guessed it may have been them
