B.A.P.’s Bang Yong Guk discusses the differences between “Power” and “Warrior”

Having returned with a strong new comeback track titled “Power“, the boys of B.A.P. have been making their rounds on the first week of comeback stages.

After ‘Music Core‘, leader Bang Yong Guk sat down with reporters to share his thoughts on the group’s comeback.

Bang Yong Guk began, “It’s not something we’ve been preparing for a long time for, but we did work really hard to show improvement for our fans. This album is extremely meaningful for us in that way.”

He continued, “Compared to our debut track, ‘Warrior‘, our choreography has gotten a lot more fierce. We probably rehearsed longer for ‘Power’ than ‘Warrior’ since there were a lot of complex, detailed moves we had to pay attention to. And since the choreography gets violent at times, the members would bump into each other often. It hurt a lot, but it was really fun.”

Concluding the interview, he stated, “We’ve returned with a message more positive than ‘Warrior’ so we hope ‘Power’ receives a lot of love. I’m curious as to how our fans will receive the song. I’ll continue to promote with both fun and anticipation.”

Yeah I really love it. and I like the lyrics more than warrior. I know people say they sound the same and they DO have the same theme but I think there's a different message. hopefully whenever the third album shows up they take the songs in a slightly different direction.

My friend said that his hand havent fully recovered yet,I guess that explains a lot that during the kick part were they used their hands to support,Gukkie just jumps out.. He's pretty talented guy, he wrote warrior and he wrote (the lyrics for) all the songs on the new mini album right? It all has a similar theme regarding injustice and I read that he has interest in politics/world events. So I wonder if that's not what inspired his lyrics. I'd like if he was able to discuss his inspiration in depth in interviews one day. He seems like a thoughtful dude. social justice idol? lol

Agreed - Thoughtful is a great word to describe him, I think. I think he also has interest in economics? I remember he tweeted once asking about other people's opinions on some economic thing and he was genuinely excited about it and eager to discuss it. (I don't remember what economic thing, as I am not familiar with economics at all...)

He seems to have a good head on his shoulders, which I appreciate.
