TOP is such a goof. playing on slides, falling asleep on cakes, showing of his muscles in his jaw and bragging about chewing gum ten times a day. he is legit ridiculous. comedians in asia have to be really over the top tho, and I think TOP is more subtle. I think most of his humor comes from him not even trying, he's just what the japanese would call a "tennen boke" (or naturally foolish to put it another way)
I agree, that's why TOP is so hilarious -- his funny is natural, as opposed to the trying-too-hard version that's so prevalent and so-not funny in comparison on variety shows. I think he's aware of it, but his goofiness seems like a real part of his personality, not an act.
Yeah he's natural. and he doesnt have to try. and i think that is why people like him so much. TOP said once that people kind of got the wrong idea about him (because of his rapper persona) and that he's always been kind of silly and foolish. which is great, cause i think if he was as serious and slick as his rapper persona he wouldnt be nearly as charming as he is.
it was pretty entertaining (I think this is the first time I've seen top talk a lot in a show), but I'm mad they edited out the daeri becoming closer story :(
