God they are so perfect. I love the new song and I'm so curious as to what the new lyrics mean and what the new members' lines are. I LOVE the production, seriously. It's so chic and yet a level above the catchy hook-songs all my other basic faves put out.
tbh ever since The Grasshoppers single, they've been going in this musical direction that is... idk, I want to be openminded, but this song is all over the place and I could barely sit through it.
I'll just stick with Midnight Circus, I guess, or even Love Letter (which has its own breezy, ost-esque charm).
It's not so much about musical style, just that this song isn't coherent, at least to me. "Let's Talk About" had an eclectic sound to it, but it was well put together, and it fit in (thematically) with the rest of Midnight Circus.
But you have a point about lyrics - I'm sure this song has a satirical message behind it if nothing else.
Yeah, this song is definitely spaced out, but is that meant to be a take on other kpop songs? I don't listen to a lot of kpop (Sunny Hill is basically it, really), but to me a lot of the ones I have listened to are mostly moving from hook to hook. I'm thinking of BEG - Sixth Sense and SNSD - The Boys. The components of the song fit together, but there's something very jarring about them.
I'd also really like to know if there have been any songs that do the fake-end bit. That bit is just odd. Unless it's a piss-take on some other group, I'm not sure why they've included it.
