What I have observed from Korean men (at least at my university) is that they are either über fashionistas and could pull off the whole man purse, no socks, and fedora look, or they do the monotone tracksuit and sneakers look (slob look? lol). Very rarely do I see those who wear the normal outfit of jeans and shirt. How peculiar.

really? I had the opposite experience. I mean, yeah, there were a lot of people who wore casual clothes, but then a lot of them dressed extremly nicely too.. might have had something to do with the area I stayed in though.

Really? I had the exact opposite experience. Especially on my college campus, which was in Seoul. Girls were in heels all the time, and guys were always dressed like it was about to be a night out. Where do you live, if you don't mind me asking? Are you in one of the suburbs?

THIS. I remember the Korean guys in my school legit dressing the way SHINee dressed back in their first couple of years. Lately, they're going all preppy with the fedoras and boat shoes and man purses. Then the girls legit used to dress just like Yoon Eunhye in "Goong/Princess Hours." When us common people wear those clothes, we get weird looks. When the Koreans do, we just stare in envy.
