It has been revealed that the police have booked the two idol members mentioned previously, and have issued an arrest warrant for individual ‘A’ in the ongoing investigation against Open World Entertainment‘s CEO.

On April 18th, Seoul Kangnam Police told TVDaily, “We are issuing out a warrant of arrest for the singer ‘A’, who is in his 30s, involved in the case.” They also commented, “The two idol group members have also been booked without detention.

As mentioned before, ‘A’ is reported to be someone who has a personal connection to the Open World Entertainment CEO, but is not under the label.

The police also revealed that they will be concluding the investigations on April 19th to hand over the case to prosecutors.

So far, from what is circulating the Korean media outlets, the above statements seem to have been confirmed. What hasn’t been confirmed is news concerning The Boss, and whether or not they are involved in the case.

According to one media outlet, News1, they have obtained a statement from a source within the police who has stated, “The idol members involved in this case are not from The Boss… The two members involved who carried out the commands by the CEO have been booked.

Considering that News1 is the only one to have acquired this statement from the source, and as other media outlets (at the time of writing) have not made any mention of The Boss, it remains to be seen whether this is valid or not.

In related news, Open World Entertainment once again denied any involvement of their artists, and apologized to the public earlier today through an official statement.

Seriously. Rather than pander to the public, grovel to the victims. Ensure justice is done, and while no amount of money will ever eliminate the trauma they have suffered, compensate them.

Oh, and lock up the rapists and throw away the key. Forever.

For singer "A" I don't understand why they would hide his name. But on the other hand, if the two idols are underaged, then I can understand somewhat the reason behind it.

That apology feels more like a slap in the face tbh. Like "sorry for the incovenience those victims made by opening their mouth". It's very hard not to feel almost hate about that kind of official statement. Priorities really. Have some respect. At least try to appear with some if you're incapable of anything.
Oh X-5...I was beginning to warm to you and voilà. Guess it's another lesson about the smoke and mirrors of the idol world.

I havent said much so far because honestly what is there to say? I am beyond words. But I really want names right now. These people need to be shamed for the rest of their lives for what they have done. they need to never forget it as long as they live. I hope netizens figure out which idol members are responsible. (I hope korean law throws the book at them but considering korean prison terms are laughable i dont hold out much hope) as for the apology I think my icon sums up my reaction pretty well.

Yesterday OWE released a statement saying the news articles saying two idols from their agency being involved was a complete lie and issued a request that the news sites remove all statements saying so before the wrong idea was given, and today it's been confirmed they've been arrested? Great.

I take it if they're not from The Boss (and thank god for that, tbh), they must be from X-5? That's pretty shitty. :( This whole situation is shitty.

The Boss's album release has also been cancelled. Not just postponed but cancelled. That's also really awful.

Date: 2012-04-18 03:32 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mya13.livejournal.com
I really don't understand why OWE is still saying none of their artists were involved at this point...I mean who are we to believe, the fucked up company that is OWE or the news articles...

And i feel bad for The Boss, all their hard work is pretty much all thrown in the trash at this point.

I just want the Victims to get the justice they deserve at this point. Ugh i want names so badly now though.

I'm not sure about Korea, but in my country they don't usually reveal names of suspects or victims in sexual offence crimes, for several reasons because there's always the risk of vigilante's attacking suspect A/X/Y This is not welcome in cases where the suspects may not actually be guilty of anything and over exposure to details in the media of cases before the court contaminates public opinion and potential jury members (though I don't know if they have juries in South Korea). As for the Open World CEO, I think everyone already knows who is he is right? So that will probably come out no matter what, but I really don't want this played out in the media, the media never get the facts right and always tell half the story and only stating the verdict without explaining the details of the case properly. If the facts and details were explained or the trial were broadcasted that wouldn't be a problem but sometimes the media often make mistakes like publishing wrong names as suspects and things like this that I would prefer no one be named until the case is brought to court...

Date: 2012-04-18 04:28 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] devilstay.livejournal.com
All of this. Vigilante justice is not needed tbh, and so much truth about the media idek. I do not know a single country, in which the media knows how to handle these cases, or has ever treated the victims of these cases with the proper respect. They sensationalise EVERYTHING, for a bigger following, and readership.

Ok, so I'm a bit confuzzled, does being "booked" mean they arrested them?
Like, are they in jail?? Or what exactly..?? o.o

Date: 2012-04-18 05:02 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mikilove13.livejournal.com
I don't know whether booked means the same thing in Korea as it does in America, but it's basically the time when you're arrested, get prints taken and get your mugshot taken. I don't know what the system is like in Korea for booking though, but yeah, they're most likely in jail now.
