Busker Busker were the runner up contestants on the popular audition program Superstar K3, being beaten by Ulala Session, and now in the space of two weeks have become the most successful Korean Indie group of the last few years. All of songs from their debut album were composed by the lead Singer and Guitarist Jang Bum Jun, and have now taken the Korean charts by storm.

JYP (Park Jin Young) has highly praised the music of Busker Busker.
On April 2, JYP posted on his Twitter, "I just listened to Busker Busker's music. It's so beautiful that it hurts... thanks to them, I stayed in my recording studio all night, making music. Ah, I'm hurting and I'm so happy."
What especially sticks out is that Busker Busker was a contestant on Mnet's "Superstar K3" whereas JYP is currently a judge for SBS "K-Pop Star."
Netizens who came across this tweet commented, "I'm hearing praise from many places about Busker Busker's new album. I guess it's really that good," "I really like Busker Busker. I wish them the best in the future," "I really hope the rest of the 'Superstar K3' contestants will release albums," and "If it's to the point where JYP gives them that kind of high praise, then I can guess the album's quality even when I haven't listened to it yet."
Meanwhile, Yoon Do Hyun spoke about a particular track from Busker Busker's album, "Yeosu Night Sea," on Mnet's "Yoon Do Hyun's Must." Busker Busker's lead vocal Jang Bum Joon wrote and composed the track himself. Yoon Do Hyun said, "Even a man in his forties like me would like to sing this song." Also during the show, T-ara's Eunjung commented, "Busker Busker's album is the best. Now I feel like I have to go to the 'Yeosu Night Sea.'"

Busker Busker denies rumor of boycotting television appearances:
The news that the indie band Busker Busker has boycotted the major networks is incorrect according to Mnet.
A staff member from Mnet spoke with OSEN on April 10th and said, “The news that they have boycotted appearing on television is false. The reason that they are not appearing is because they are focusing on their first concert which will be held in May.”
“We are just following the desire of the group who wants to focus on their live performance, and so we are cutting down their schedules,” continued the staff member.
The members themselves are not concerned with appearing on cable or television. In a recent interview that Busker Busker had with OSEN, they said, “We like concerts more than broadcasts. We want to focus on doing concerts. A lot of people ask us about appearing on television but currently we really do not care too much about it. If we have an opportunity to sing, that is all that matters.”
Busker Busker will be holding their concert titled ‘Youth Bus’ from May 4th through the 6th.

If we have an opportunity to sing, that is all that matters.
I know people will probably think them as snobs because they refused to do broadcasts, but I admire them for that.
