mbc explores the life of hallyu star kim hyun joong in documentary

A strong leader of the K-pop wave in Japan is Kim Hyun Joong, whose in-depth documentary is soon to hit the air.

At 12:20 AM on April 15th, MBC will release their first installment of the MBC special project ‘K-POP Star Captures the World,’ titled ‘Lucky Star Kim Hyun Joong.’

From Kim Hyun Joong’s arena tour in Japan to his fan meeting in Korea, this broadcast will also include footage of his overseas activities as well as his preparations for his comeback album to be released in June.


In particular, the documentary will feature unedited, candid content showing the depression he experienced during his activities in Japan and the close 10-year friendship that started before his debut and that he has maintained to this day with JYJ member Kim Jaejoong.

A Japanese critic stated,

“In 2012, the direction of K-pop is being changed by solo singers. Amongst that flow, Kim Hyun Joong has been watched by everyone as he emerges as a front-runner.”

In the meantime, starting with Kim Hyun Joong, ‘K-POP Star Captures the World’ plans to take an in-depth look into the hallyu wave of 2012 by getting up close and personal for 24 hours with hallyu stars like CNBLUE, BEAST and IU.

I'm more familiar with him as an actor than as a singer, but get it KHY.
