‘Rooftop Prince’ surpasses ‘The King 2hearts’ in ratings

SBS Drama ‘Rooftop Prince’ records its first #1 ranking in ratings.

According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, the episode of ‘Rooftop Prince’ aired on April 5th averaged 12.5% ratings.

The figure is a 1.3% increase from last week’s 11.2%. Moreover it has surpassed MBC’s ‘The King 2heart’ which has been consistently coming in at #1 for the time slot from episode 1.

On this episode of ‘Rooftop Prince’, crown prince Lee Gak (played by Park Yoochun) and his three liegesSong Man Ho (Lee Min Ho), Do Chi San (Choi Woo Shik), and Woo Yong Sul‘s (Jung Suk Won) acclimation to corporate working environment had been featured. The four began working for a home shopping network and quickly got to learn how to party with co-workers, making for an entertaining episode.

The ratings for the other dramas in the same time slot are as follows, ‘The King 2hearts’ averaged 12.1%, and KBS’ ‘The Equator Man’ averaged 10.2%

So impressed. Have been following both dramas and I have to say the Korean audience got it right. The King 2 Hearts started off really strong but as of the recent episode, it gets quite boring and predictable. Rooftop Prince is the opposite, it started off quite boring and embarrassing (for the awkward acting, yes), then it became really, really good and interesting as of the recent episodes. So proud of the whole Rooftop Prince cast, it's a really good k-drama.

This drama is really good and funny. And the twists just keep on coming. It's very unpredictable. Plus, the mystery side of things is interesting. It makes you dying to know what happens in the next ep.

im watching both dramas and i love them both but i was definitely more hooked to King2Hearts from the very beginning and i still am. king2hearts has been leading in ratings all this time though and i think its gonna get the lead back eventually but we'll see, congrats anyways!

i hate all the company/grandma related parts of the drama, i just want my 4 power rangers and park ha!!! i cant wait for this week's episodes for both of them though omg yoochun needs to stop going after that bitch cause she's gonna start liking him and its gonna be a mess >__<

and seunggi is such an ass, and his mom is gonna be one of those annoying rude moms it seems -.- ugh they both obviously like each other but are afraid to commit, especially seunggi. so much trouble coming up for them but w/e its amusing watching them bicker lol

rooftop prince has been amazing!

i've been watching king 2 hearts also. it's pretty good but hasn't got me quite as hooked as rooftop prince. all the little gags about the joseon era vs modern day are so much fun. yoochun has improved a lot, and i think his chemistry with han ji min (who's adorable) is great.

the villians are doing pretty good too. i watch to slap sena all the time LOL

I have loved every second of this drama, even the soundtrack is amazing (ALi's voice is perfect). I can't wait until the next episode and I'm not struggling to connect the pieces like I am with Fashion King. I'm so ready to dump that one.

they're both good. RP is as K-drama as drama goes though including have the most annoying 2nd lead female in recent drama history
TK2H is made amazing by LSG and HJW. I like the alternate universe thing the have going on, but Goong was my first drama so I have a soft spot for this kind of story

Rooftop Prince has been very interesting and enjoyable to watch. The twists, turns, and unpredictability of each episode makes me look forward to it every week. When I first read the summary I was thinking it was just going to be a prince traveling to the future to make a reincarnation of his princess fall in love with him again. Then you add in the little sister twist/history, the future Yoochun/business drama, and the prince's "sidekicks" and you have a lot more color and dimension than you originally bargained for. Plus Yoochun's acting is getting better and better, and I'm so proud. ^^ -sigh-

And I've been meaning to get into King2Heart, but I can't be distracted by two dramas at once.. DX One obsession is enough thank you.. But the cast is amazing, and the plot 's so interesting!
